Yes but there are some US oils in there, that were bought from a US store. Testing was done in a controlled independent lab a couple of years ago. They said they were so surprised at how low the Mobil 1 scored (well, they do mention it's being tested against other very high quality oils) that they tested the whole case, and ended up ordering another case from a different US retailer, which tested the same.

Heres the other problem, what was their test based on? From what I understand, different labs test oils in different ways.

Ok, so, this was a test of oils that can be bought off the self somewhere in the U.S.?

Yes, but not without some difficulty. Try finding Penrite synthetic somewhere in this country.

So my car got hit with a softball, and I brought it to a pointless dent guys. He informed me and showed me that the metal actually stretched, and the dent won't hold after he massaged the dent out.

He recommended I look to a body shop to ad some filler ...but I think I might just want to replace the quarter panel....and one have any recommendations? I assume the dealer will be no help , though I though maybe I could claim a defect in that panels manufacturing which made the metal week?

Sux man, how big is the dent and how deep. I've seen some pretty good dents come out like nothing ever happened. The only things to worry about when trying to remove a deep dent that creased is the paint chipping when it gets pulled back. If it's that bad then they'll probably have to sand it down, weld some studs, pull the metal out, shape it, sill it, sand it down, prime respray that section. What about insurance?

Looking for a BMP gas filler door & rear hatch spoiler with decent paint for the MKIV R32. It would be nice to start fixing some of the flaws in the car.

He was able to get most of the dent out and looking good. The only part that does not look perfect is the point of impact, its what people call "oil canned". Hard to explain.

I'll try my best to get out to the meet this Friday to show you guys, and i'll take some pictures and try to capture is (hard on a white car) and post them later today.

I'll have to get a quote, and think about going through insurance, but i believe my Collateral Deductible is $500.

I love how people working in the courts, DMV, what ever, can **** up a make mistakes, but we the people who are victimized by those mistakes still have to pay for them.

This all stems from a ticket I got back in January 2006 that I pled not guilty to but the court never sent me my court date despite going back and resubmiting the plea several times through out that year.

St*t happens, & at least you didn't get tossed in jail like I almost did years ago.

Years ago, back on Long Island, I picked my car up from the dealership body shop on my way to work. They didn't put on a front plate bracket, the shop was closed so I would have to go back another day, so I tossed the plate on the dash. I got pulled over sitting at a light by a cop facing the other way, & a ticket for no front plate even after the explanation, & showing the cop the receipt time stamped 10 minutes prior. He said to just show up, show the bailiff the mounted plate, & they would dismiss it. That didn't happen. The judge was a real tool, lost his temper after I repeated what the cop told me, & screamed "If it's not on the bumper we'll ticket you again". I paid the fine & wrote it off as a lesson learned.Years later I got pulled over on a routine check & find out they never rescinded the license suspension order. Evidently everyone is guilty of not showing up in that court until you pay the fine, instead of doing what a normal court would do & put the paper work through after a no show. They do it to everyone before the appearance date, then another set of paper work to rescind the order. Why not make twice the work for everybody? Thankfully the cop was cool about it & I didn't go to jail. My car was towed home & sat until I went back to that town court to straighten things out. I didn't have the paperwork anymore, & the woman working there gave me a look of "Ugh, you mean I have to work to fix this screw up?" It was finally sorted out when I took the paper work copies to the county court & got everything dismissed. It was a PITA to straighten out, & I would really have been pissed if they made me take another written license test & road test because of their screw up. Dodging that was the only positive thing that happened.

Anyone know of a decent shop that will mount and balance some tires and not charge a few appendages to do it. I could always go to the local Midas or whatever, but figured if anyone knew a place or a person that could use the extra cash lmk.

Found a BMP filler door with good paint, hopefully here sometime next week. Still looking for a MKIV R32 BMP hatch spoiler.

I've used http://www.apexautomotive.com/ several times really happy with them. Rohri had a bad experience with them but I'm surprised I mean I had tires mounted and balanced a lot of times, I had alignments done and they are very knowledgeable.
