Thank goodness there are only 2 episodes left. Can't believe this will get picked up, even w/ Spielberg producing it.

I think the last episode was possibly the best.. and we knowing moving forward there's going to be some weird hybrid **** going on.
With only a few quality shows on right now, I'll keep watching.

I am really liking the show.
Better than most shows that are on now.

I wish the pace of the show would pick up. There are interesting storylines, decent acting, and pretty good fx for a TV show, but why does it......move......so.......slow.....? For a bunch of people trying to survive, you'd think they'd have some sort of....urgency? Desperation? There's too much talky talky between the humans and more about the aliens.

Am I the only one that thinks the mechs look like rejects from Robo Cop?

lol, way to save money by having no special effects in that last episode.

I don't mind the effects as much as I mind the fairly weak story lines and poor attention to detail.
If they fixed those then I would probably then move onto the poor acting.
Also, WTF happened to the blonde girl the oldest son hooked up with?
IIRC, they went to rescue the other son and she was captured with the oldest son. They went in and got him back but nothing about her. They just moved on.
Anyways, I think the "shocker" we are going to find out is that the harnesses placed on the kids turn them into "skidders".

A 9-week season. Really.
They have the chance for several more episodes now that we see the humanoid creatures that run the skidders.
I can't see this getting picked up again. Ending the season right before most shows / seasons start.

Well it is a summer series. Summer series shows have been known to have a shorter season. And this episodes look like they cost some serious coin (sets, costumes, all those junked cars, fx, etc) so TNT might have only been able to afford 9 episodes.
I'd like to see it come back, but won't be heartbroken if it doesn't.

I just watched Super 8 which was produced by Steven Spielberg (and was a great movie) also and could not help but not a similarity to the alien in that and the "skidders".

Said it would be back in the summer of 2012. Wow, that's a short series with a long break.

So the yesterday's ep was the finale??
This is one show I would be glad to be gone. Can't not watch it, but don't to watch it. It's a weird thing.

I am hoping it comes back reborn.
I watched it and will watch it when it comes back, even if it does not get any better but seriously this show makes Sarah Connor Chronicles seem as epic as the first two Terminator movies.

I never saw this until a few days ago when I recorded a marathon and season Finale on TNT and i must say it's a pretty good show. Though the Season finale was pretty uneventful and i'd like to see more Alien ass kicking. I'm looking forward to season 2. Too bad we have to wait a year for it. Hopefully I'll remember to tune in
They have some pretty good eye candy too with Moon Bloodgood and Sarah Carter

I just finished watching the 1st season over the past few weeks on my laptop during my daily train commutes.
It's not an epic show, but it's perfect to keep me entertained during my commute.
I'm looking forward to season 2.
By the way, I also think they're called "skidders", but when I turn on the closed caption track, it shows up in the text crawl as "skitters". I wonder which is right?
#64
I'm watching the re-runs as they air.
It could be skidders or skitters, not sure.
#65
It's "skitters"

I like this show a lot, no caveats or disclaimers.
It reminds me of Jericho and I liked that too.
And these are just plain creepy -
