I'd help out in any way possible. if any1 ruin the Dash again they should sign a waiver where we can tie them to a tree and stone them. Don't let stupid people ruin it for the rest of us who just enjoy sitting by the fire drinking. In a way last year was an improvement though b/c instead of someone crashing the gator that belongs to someone else, at least they crashed their own vehicle! basically i agree with rob. for me at least it's the highlight of the season. i couldn't go to the great lake gtg b/c it was in new york this year. don't let the tradition die. A Decade of the Dash!!

Well I went to the dash along with a buddy and his audi and had a blast at the show and the rallye was fun too cept for the rain. Anyhow I think the guy's name that put on the show is on SWOV his name's charlie murphy i do believe. Well I want to go to the dash next year for sure I hope it happens and let me know if you guys need help I am game.

Also I might do a laker erie GTG myself along with another buddy with the audi in the summer some time , location is going to be the East Harbor State Park in Marblehead , Ohio, and its really close to sandusky as well. I am going to be calling and seeing what they have available for the summer and what the rules are for a GTG too.

sounds cool. and i have been in touch with "charlie murphy" they're trying to figure out a way to be able to put on the bash fro at least one more year. like i said though they asked for suggestions on what could possibly draw a bigger crowd and such. and also keep me informed on the gtg ickey. im always looking for ways to whore my car!

Well I'm the accomplice in the lake erie gtg, and to be honest it really is a nice place, beach (females lol), campgrounds, and the port clinton/marblehead/catawba area is beautiful area in the summer, with plenty of photo op locations, (piers, marinas, lighthouse, ect.) It originally was gonna be a nwoh thing but id love to see it be something that attracts a larger crowd, and east harbor is easily twice the real estate that dayton motorcycle club had so there's plenty of room for anyone that wants to come out, and I also am fully onboard with helping save dub dash from falling into ashes keep me posted

start a thread about a possible lake erie gtg, east harbor is beautiful, i know me a few others would be game( Mr car whore up there^^) . but lets keep this one on track for dub dash, it's important the tradition lives for at least another year.

Not for certain on the reason. Proba combination of stuff but mainly a money and location thing from what I understand, but like I said im not in the loop of puttingthis on so its strictly an outsiders point of view.

I need to talk with everyone involved with the Dash. I've been slacking and know I promised to hash out details etc. and I need to get on that. Also, starting this year, as long as there's a dash there will be a Long Ball Rally to the Dash!

Those in charge, hit me up and let's see what we can make happen.

Hey there guys...this thread was just brought to my attention.

I'm sorry to say that there will indeed not be a dash this year.

Here is a brief explanation of where we are at the moment and what the future may hold.

Venue availability, staffing constraints, and overall organization/funding are the biggest problems we have in pulling the show off.

I/we the staff simply don't have the time, energy, and financial ability to put into the show anymore as we used to.....most of us have family and job commitments that we didn't have several years ago when the show was in its' infancy.

We don't have anybody to turn to as far as organizing the show/staff/etc. and without a plan/support from the community we feel it would require to be able to go on we decided we should dissolve it until we can either put these things into better perspective or just end on a high note before it REALLY got out of hand as far as shenanigans/liabilities.

It was also getting to the point where it was hard to get the sponsors to commit:
The last couple of years have been hard as we all know as far as the economy is concerned and this affects everybody, even some of the loyal sponsors we've had for years.
Either they were dropping off entirely or reducing the amount of support they'd given us in the past as far as Money and raffle commitments....which greatly affects our ability to pull the show off and hope to meet our bottom line/break even.

Keeping this in mind, in addition to rising costs on just about everything we needed to provide our guests with made for an interesting mix of stress in relation to pulling off the event.

There are a lot of other reasons as to why we've had to make this decision and I'll definitely miss having fun with a thousand of my closest friends on the first weekend of October.

On behalf of me and all who have supported the show in any way, as a spectator, worker, or sponsor, Thanks for the good times and hopefully we can revisit this in the next couple of years.

We talked about having a "Dash to the TN Circle Yer Wagens" show, but this also has not gelled and we're basically four weeks away at this point.

If there's anyone in the community that thinks they have the tight crew and resources to pull this off I'd be glad to consult with the committee to see that the show may have a future, but all in all I'm good with ending on a high note and knowing that we pulled off one of the most unique shows stateside that has the feel and camaraderie of a European show.

I do have lots of long and short sleeved shirts avail. from last years' show if anyone wants to grab one.

    Cheers mates!

Not 100% on this but from my understanding they wanted a late night snack after the bash, made it almost all the way back and nosed a wooden lamp/electrical post on their way into the motorcycle club...

Sad this show is no more. Its the only event I actually wanna go to each year. Longo and the guys are all awesome to have put it on for as long as they did.
