I agree that doesn't seem right. I am running ET.5 up front and ET10 out back on my 16x9's.

Enkeis on my car are peasant fitment. 15x6.5 et35. 12mm spacers on rear. But I'm thinking about 2 possible sets of wheels for next summer.

-One set is 15x9 et0 rear, 15x8 et0 front. (pretty much gave up on these because I don't think I could fit them, especially the fronts)
-2nd set is 15x8 et0 rear, 15x7 et15 front. (mostly because I think I can get them under my arches, that's the white Jetta above)

But then others are running 15x9 fronts!

Edit: Yeah I saw those Enkei 92 re-release a month or so back on another forum, what a great idea! That wheel has gotten really popular again, especially with the Honda crowd. 3 kids with Civics have tried to buy them off me in the last 2 years. They are a bit different this time around though.

First 92's were 2pc (forged barrel, cast center), but welded together - Re-release is 1pc cast
Also the little diamonds around the bolt holes are quite deep on the originals, but appear only 1-2mm or so deep on the new one.

    a 16x9 with a et30 offset is definitely possible...
its done on plenty of wheels.

and to the person who questioned how to run a 16x9 on the front of a mkII, its easy.
cut away a portion of your fender as needed, cover with G60 flare.

the dude bought those panasports from this guy

    ok 2 more questions.

    * Where can you buy a full set of G60 Flares?

    * what's the best way to attach the flare once you shaved the fender right down.
(I actually have this problem now, best thing I can figure out is 2 screws on the very ends and then some Automotive Goop along the top, and use clamps until the goop is dried)

    Good luck..haha

it took me months to track down a set in the condition i wanted...which was NOS. Either they are new or used, G60 flaires fetch a good price and most people dont wanna come off theirs because they are so damn hard to come by. I have some that have never been mounted but have been trimmed, i would be willing to sell for the right offer.

i never said that that can't be done. i am saying that i think you are wrong. i talked to quadcammer a lot before i ran my 16x9 to make sure mine would fit and i remember mine and his being very close. and for the record he owned the red car that you posted and the black one.

ok well that's that, so let's keep this in the realm of hacked up (stock 16v style but on crack) front fenders with 8v flairs.

Can a 15x8 et-0 front whel fit under a car that tucks a bit of rubber? With 195/50 or 195/45-15.

15x8 et0 is really hard to fit without a g60 flare. they poke way to much imo. jessica is running that size but she has stupid small tires and g60 flares and it works. it is tough though.

edit: i forgot to really mention tire size. a 195/50 or 195/45 would make it tough like i was saying before. jessica is running 165/50 i believe.

16X9 generally are et15 but Borbet and a few other manufactures made 16x9's in optional et 30 which is fully fitment wise can be done w/ the right modding and G60 arches

If given the choice. I wouldn't run 15x8 ET0. I don't even like it lol.

and yes, Kinker you're right... I've got 165/50s on my wheels.

Did you run spacers for stance, or to fix the back spacing?

If I didnt run spacers the wheel would hit the rear beam...13mm was as close as I could get without hitting. Im sure You could modify the beam with some welding so the wheel would not hit.

front was to clear the coil overs.

    Alpina 13"

Very, very, very similar. Only difference in the Alpina 13" wheels came a bit wider with a little bot of lip on them. If they are 13x5.5 they are are OEM e21, and if they are 13x6 or 13x6.5" they are Alpina. My 82 E21 has the Alpina style wheels as OEM rolling stock.
