Can anyone tell me if this is worth it from the VW Dealership and what will all be included in the service? My GLI is approaching this century mark and want to know if it's worth the money.

why don't you just call the dealership and ask them what they include on a 100k service?

then when you're done, call your doctor and tell him you're gonna need him to service your butthole once you finished getting raped at the dealer.

You might as well have an ambulance waiting for you at the door.

Awesome. On the phone now with VW and 911. Figured it best to conference call.

nice to see some noobs who have a sense of humor.

but for real, i would stay away from the dealer. just find out what the job entails and take it to a reputable shop. they most likely won't charge you nearly as much.

Of course, I can't take things like this personally, just looking for advice. It came as sarcasm and that's what it is. I have had the car for about 15k now, and just want to keep up with it as much as possible. I'll stay away from the dealer though. Thanks.

      Oil change
      air and cabin filter
      spark plugs

the spark plugs should be the most difficult part of it, and even then it shouldn't be that hard. Pick up a Haynes manual at Autozone/Advance Auto Parts and read it through a few times. I got a quote for ~$700 at the dealer and I bought the parts and did it myself with genuine VW parts for ~$100.

I read about all that, but heard the timing belt, and water pump in that mix as well. I'll do further research from here. Thanks guys.

Timing belt is a must, but it should have been done around 80k IIRC

ya if your timing belt and water pump haven't been done, and you're at 100k, get that **** done ASAP. if your belt blows, you could potentially be looking at a couple thousand in head work.
