I have a 99' Cabrio and I need to swap the manual transmission. I guess my transmission is an 020...Do you think that an 02J will bolt up as well? If so or even if not what are the differences between the two transmissions? Thanks

To be completely honest this question would probably be better suited for the MK4 forum. Us Mk1 guys don't really know anything about MK3.5 Cabs. At least I speak for myself.

      Good luck

Search for user 'Broke' on here and ask the question, he is the resident authority on O2O and O2J transmissions and will probably be able to give you the most accurate answer on whether or not they'll interchange easily and quickly...

The 02A transmission from a G60 Corrado or a 16V Passat will be a direct bolt in, I'm not sure that anything else will, though. Broke is definitely the man to ask.
