We all know that "cool" is relative. I know that some of us didn't have our own cars until just recently, so "old" is relative too.
Dig in your hard drive or look in the attic to scan something to share.
I'm looking for those photos of you standing next to your ride. Photos that (at the time) you thought were the coolest. They have to be yours. Think of this as our own CarDomain thread. Include a date.
Extra points for:
-Standing proud in front of a POS.
-Black and white photos.
-Anything gansta.
-The older the better.
-Shirtless
I'll start - feel free to caption mine and others.
Year - 1989
Car - 1984 Colt Turbo
I like to call this pair: "Shock and Awe"

In for later. Have a great pic of me in front of my 69 Camaro sitting on a trailer the day I brought it home. I think I was 15. Just have to scan it.

I've gotta see if I can find some old film pictures of my first car. Digging up a video still from my high school's "tv club" feature on students' cars proved unsuccessful. I've gotta see what I can do about that, it was hilarious. I was a little dumber then.
In the meantime, my shenanigans circa 2004-5...sorry, I wasn't cool enough to pose with a car:
(Note: Different cars.)

Early 2000's:
1990?/91? Subaru Justy beater:
My 96 VW Golf Turbo Diesel (no shot of me with the car but still embarassing):
The hood was black because a buddy bought a Carbon Fibre hood and gave me his black one. My white hood had a hideous bra on it covering up the rust on the edge of it. Never ended up painting it because the car was a money pit. I sold it. The headlights I thought were cool at the time and it's about the closest i've been to being a "dubber". Never again.
Lettin' my hillbilly out. Still have this 80 CJ-5:
And this one is not that old but still the coolest of cool. Circa summer 2009 in my Datsun Z:

Summer '08 - not so old, but it's my old car.
Nothing too embarrassing other than the 4x4 stance

Bought this 2.5 years ago, drove it into the ground about a year later. Simultaneously my favorite and least favorite car of all time. No picture of me with it, though.

Ahh, yes. Memories of being fresh out of high school and thinking I was the king of the world. Well, maybe not--I didn't even have a car of my own yet... so I had to secretly flog my mother's 1986 Escort Pony 4-speed commuter within an inch of its life. I did this on a regular basis, and the darn thing took it all in stride.
So here I am, the day after Thanksgiving 1988:
