My new Tiguan SE!

Problem is, the mods on this Tig are pretty trendy... the teal wheels, the black roof, the stacked plates, the shaved bum and "illest" and other Fatlace 45 degree slanted rear window stickers.

Most tiguan drivers don't appear to be either a) that young, or b) that trendy.

Hence the hate.

I've had some heavily modified GTIs in the past. I've always kept it very OEM+ and low-key looking; hence, I don't love Monicups' car either. I prefer to fly under the radar a bit.

BUT, I give props to her for having fun with the car. Her car fits in with the scene she's part of...

I keep picking on her for just one reason, also voiced by another poster: the car looks so clean - why spoil it with the plate that isn't even fully visible?
I love the dark grille (clean), the rear emblem delete (clean, although I wouldn't have done that myself), the black roof (clean, although it must get real hot), even the teal rims (trendy, but I would never be caught driving anything like that unless it was covered in sponsor stickers). The whole car screams clean, and then you see (part of) the Euro plate.

I've said before that I like it. I think it would like really good if you get your decals to match your wheels.

I gotta try the black vinyl on the chrome window trim. Looks really good! The chrome just stands out, in a bad way.

Haven't done the Wiper delete yet. Even though its so simple i've been really lagging on that one.

So a while back I went to San Mateo to buy an intercooler from a guy that had one posted in the "NorCal parts" section.

I get there and my buddy and I are waiting for the guy to show up, then we see this Tiguan pull in and right away I noticed the wheels from Craigslist. Lol (Sorry Monicups if we weirded you out hahaha. But after all we were there to buy vw parts and you pulled up in a modded tig.)

These wheels are as clean in person as they are in the pics! They just aren't right for my mK4.
