Engine bay is completely empty (except for brake booster), cut off all brackets and studs sticking out and ready for final sanding, smoothing and frame rail covers and all I suffered was a split thumb tip and a burned index finger.

It helps when the car is right outside the shop window and the air hose is easily accessed

Wire and new tyco relay connectors have been ordered for the wire tuck.

Oh and just got these for my corrado support vehicle
    Came off of a 1995 740

Did the rain tray delete today and was fairly simple with the right tools. Find all the weld dimples and grind them down just right and the assembly more or less pops out with a little persuasion.

    Enjoy!

    And my parts cars:

Spagetti for dinner? Nope, just the wiring for the power window systen after I removed the door actuator wiring. What a waste! Putting together a much simpler design based off the ford mustang which reduces this pile of crap to just several wires.

Brought the floor boards down to the metal surface, got my seam sealer, kitty hair fiberglass, sound deadener, foam and carpeting in. Have a couple of small rust holes in the floor that will be fixed this weekend. Gonna re-carpet tomorrow and close up the firewall then starts the interior re-wire and wire tuck to the lights.

When using a busy EYE catching pattern leave it on ONE area if you start spreading it around the car it gets too busy.
Also houndstooth is 70's what else is going old school on your car? gonna be dating your interior pretty badly.

Finally some progress! Removed interior, stripped floor panels and prepped for the re-do.

    1) Sprayed undercoat
    2) Applied sound deadener, I chose 40mil edead at 2.00 per sq ft. Product worked well.
    3) Applied foam sound deadener, again an edead product at only 1.00 per sq ft.

NEXT: Custom black carpet with latex backing that can be heat moulded or glued down.

Removed all wiring for door lock actuator system, power windows and power seat belts. I secured a brand new set of Corrado manual window regulators from VW in Germany

The goal is to have only the wiring for the power mirrors in the doors, and just the wiring running to the back for the rear lights, spoiler and fuel pump.

This may sound stupid (probably missed it somewhere) but where are you mounting the reservoirs since you shaved all of the brackets???

Purchased a low mileage aba engine for 100.00 and will be doing the bottom end conversion and wanted to know if the supercharger bracket mounts directly to that block.

so I haven't done much due to waiting on the manual regulators and manual seatbelts but I managed to do a door speaker delete and here are the results:

After my horrible experience with DAP spray adhesive I went with 3M super trim adhesive and the results as you can see were excellent. The adhesive stuck perfectly and didn't back off even bending the edges over to the back. Got it at autozone for 22.00

oh and I aslo finished fabrication on my rear upper strut bar mounts. Got the aluminum in too for the cross brace and just have to weld it up. Pics soon

My custom rear upper strut mounts. Just have to weld the end brackets together on the aluminum stress bar and test fit.
