      Mine's niicer than StormChasers . The boat has since been completed. I finished staining the seats, cleaning the interior/exterior and its equipped with a Minn Kota Enudra 55 trolling motor. Boats great for fresh water fishing. It was a fun restoration project. The boats as old as 1975.

      HiLiner 222. I don't have any new photos. It now has an outboard on a platform.

      Nice, probably a bit cheaper than the upkeep on the Hatteras eh?

      I like the J cuz it's cheap to maintain, easy enough to single hand or double hand spinnaker division with competent crew. It is however very uncomfortable so most non sailors will only go once or twice.

      Yeah, the Cat was a LOT cheaper to maintain and run. But there's no way I'd want to live on a C30. funny, the Grady gets used a LOT more than that Hatt. I think we put close to 500 hours on the Grady last year.

      Do you live on the Hatt? I would be putting a lot more hours on the Grady just on gas purposes alone

      And the Grady actually burns MORE fuel per hour but gets more mpgs.

      Hatt = 10gph at 10knots (1mpg)*
      Grady = 15gph at 30 knots (2mpg)

      *Hatts official factory cruise is 13.5 knots at 20gph but i choose a more fuel efficient/slower speed most of the time).

      Yeah but what do you get on the Grady cruising at 10 knots?

      I think you did win

      At 10 knots, I get BORED on the Grady.

      With a top end of 48 at 35gph, she's not FAST but we do run her pretty hard.

      Do I read that correctly as 1.3 mpg?

      Well to give you and idea, a friends Viking 65 burns 165 gallons per hour at WOT making 45 knots, or about 0.28mpg. That's over $575 per hour in fuel.

      I have a client who puts $1200 of diesel in his searay every other week. It's nice to drink the cocktails on deck but dam.

      Depends on how much I use her. That 750 gallons is good for about 75 hours of running. Honestly I end up on the Grady a lot more and the Hatt only went out about 10 maybe 15 times in the past year.

      I sure am glad I run an electric recharable battery for my trolling motor after hearing about these rediculous gas prices.

      85 stepp built 22 velocity, I built from a bare shell 2 years ago. Runs just a touch over 80 last year, trying for better numbers this year.

      I am between boats at the moment. My first boat was a 2000 Bayliner 1850LX Capri Sport with a 4.3L V6:

      My last one was a 1986 Bayliner 2450 Ciera Sportcruiser with a 5.7L Volvo AQ:

      Enjoyed it a lot:

      SO the big question is....what comes next?

      ....and so it goes.
