Love cat boats. Can't beat a single sheet and shallow draft for some carefree cruising

I don't have ACLs in either knee. Single handing, it's useful not ever having to go on the foredeck under sail.

My only gripe is reverse under power. With the mast all the way forward, the boat pivots to put the mast downwind no matter what you do.

Keel boats simply don't back well. None of them.

The Grady is all loaded up and making the slow trek north back to the Bay from her winter home in Florida. She'll splash tomorrow.

Just picked up this Lund from my parents, looking forward to getting it on the water! 16 feet, 45 HP Honda four stroke outboard, live well, old Pinpoint that doesn't work, need to replace it with a new trolling unit, as well as the fishfinder. Fortunately, there's lots of cool electronics these days. Looking forward to Lake Erie and the Maumee river! Just needs a wash, then I can put on the decals.

Can you spot the difference? Made a pretty major change to the Grady.

    Before:

Suzuki must be a saltwater thing. You just don't see that brand in Minnesota. Very few Yamaha motors too.

    Why the change?

That's all you see here, Yahmahas & Suzukis. The old engines were tired and Bob wanted more power. So why not just replace them. The cost split wasn't bad.
