I wish I had a detached garage. Then no one could hear me swear and throw tools

I'm in the same boat as you, my car is on a battle with rust and losing quickly. But I've got some plans

    haha big up date

heres one door card done.....ill have the rest done tomorrow along with the complete interior done and sunroof changed..then i just need to do 3 brake lines , zip tie tie-rod boots then i can fit the motor in and install my exhaust

    next

    and this

so i decided to wire up my city lights(tied int daytime running lights) and jump my 110 relay with a 30Amp relay so i will be able to have city light's w/fogs , daytime running lights w/fogs and high and low beams w/fogs

but 1st i need to disable DRL here's how

To disable DRLs, many people say to cut the single yellow wire behind the fuse panel to disengage DRLs. That works, but since we are in there, all you have to do is disconnect it from the connector. Therefore, if you want them back in the future, all you have to do is plug it back in rather than solder.

Then replace this relay(will enable all fog light options) with a jumper or the correct way and use a
    12VDC/30A SPST Automotive Relay Model: 275-226 | Catalog #: 275-226
which u can buy at the source or CT
    Pictured here

here's a pic of stuff needed(the bulbs are amber bulbs to use as city lights instead of the whites supplied)

then i may install the rear fog light as well

The rear fog is pretty simple to install as well. Just have to drill out the back of the taillight. Very useful when you have someone riding your a** so close you can't even see their headlights. Give them a little warning shot

God damn these f*cking Mexican built rust boxes

Such nice cars for the money, but the quality control is showing with age

Same boat here, Luckily I bought my car rust free but I don't have a garage so even though I don't drive it in the summer, it still sit's outside year round and some rust is starting to develop within the last few years sitting outside now 24/7. I need to find a garage so I can tear it down, build a rotisserie, and compleatly strip and por-15 and recoat the wells and underbody. Damn mexi-german made junk...

ya this one WILL NOT BE WINTER DRIVIEN......and power plant will changed next yr just wanted to have a 100% rust free shell after i seen how bad my arrow ended up being. and most the money i had budgeted went fast when putting this car back together...so looks like another yr of low n sloww...but i now have a mechanically sound and solid and ever option a mk3 can have and it all works a 100% i nerd-ed it out

moral of the story iam happier then hell...hope spring get huuurrrrrr soon
