I'm not sure. I think the air is finally out now though. I drove it again tonight and it never overheated. The fan actually kicked on this time. I think water wasn't fully circulating before and so the thermal switch wasn't being tripped. I did notice a small amount of water dripping from the cap nipple. Is a 16 psi cap enough, or should a turbo car use a higher PSI cap?
ive been running a 16psi cap on my 1.8t for a few years now, i used to have a 19-21, and was having problems with blowing off caps on certain ports and coolant leaks. its been solid since switching to 16
