Bombed the **** out of this one team with mortars the whole round on Seine Crossing...and then again on Grand Bazaar.

It's nice when you see people actively searching for the douche with the mortars lol.. I was quite sad on Bazaar because there was at least 5 people in this one damn alleyway and I was bombing the everloving poop out of it and no one died!![]()

Why the hell did they make Co-op if you can't even communicate with your partner? So stupid.

Weird I know it works with friends online, what platform are you on? Drop them like liquid is hard even with headsets. Heck we failed a couple times when I was sitting right next to my buddy in the same room and I could literally look off his screen and see if he was ready.

I can confirm for you that the headsets definitely do work in co-op, you must just be finding randoms without mics. Been knocking these out with my nephew...only have 11th hour left to goAnyway, I don't think the game gives you any indication that your mics are even connected...never looked for it but now that you've mentioned it I don't recall seeing anything like you do in regular MP.

Finally got heat seekers on my jet and heli. Damn, I'm getting the hang of it all
#2684
Cant get the hang of the jets but im gangster with the heli. Working on service star 2, attack heli. Now that I think about it, I should work on my scout heli skills.

What's the best way to get points with those things, jets are impossible to get kills with, I got heat seekers by kamikaze myself into helicopters strapped with c4.

Seems like dog fighting is the best way with jets. I've come across some brutal jet pilots while trying to do damage in helis or tanks.
Armored Kill with the AC-130 should give you guys one more thing to target - a large target
I'm a tank or LAV type of guy: 14 stars with the Tank, 1 star with the LAVs.
Yes, I know I have a problem

1804 kills with jets here. (Split over two accounts, first account is a hair away from the 10th Jet Service Star)
Heat seekers aren't really that helpful in the jets. 1. They let the other pilot know he's being followed. 2. They may disable but don't destroy even when both missiles hit. 3. You'll need luck for both or any missile to connect with a skilled pilot. 4. Cannons do well enough once you get the hang of leading and predicting movements and matching wing angle. 5. You have you point your jet at the enemy jet anyway to lock on and fire. In the same amount of time and with a little more finesse, you could have already shot him down with the cannon. 6. Taking heat seekers means you have no weapons to help out your team on the ground.
Jets aren't a "get in and go" type of thing in BF3, it requires a lot of seat time and experience to get up to a level where you can consistently stay alive and help out your team. It can be really rewarding and a load of fun if you're willing to put in the hours to get a hang of the controls and what to do to get kills and points.
Best way to get points? Play Rush, use jet to wreck armor. 100 for disable, 50 for destroy, usually 100 or 200 for kills if you take down a tank. A good rush pilot can easily hold down the entire stock of enemy armor and get well into the double digit kill counts in one normal match.
They're not impossible to get kills with, jets just have one of the highest learning curves of any vehicle in the game. Keep in mind that your airspeed will affect how tightly you turn, match your wing angle to the person you're following and try to predict how the enemy pilot will behave so you can be one step ahead and make sure your crosshairs are leading him. The prediction and the leading are by far the hardest to master and comes from experience.
This gets me into the second part of my soapbox spiel. Dogfighting is usually what makes most pilots low-score and pretty useless to the team. Mostly because most people can't dogfight worth a damn and end up spending 90% of the round flying in circles and never even getting a shot off at the enemy jet. In the jet, you want to be able to get the jump on the enemy jets, take them out quickly, and get back to scanning for other hostile jets, then hostile helis, and then what you can do to support your guys on the ground.
Limiting yourself to dogfighting means you're not going to getting very many kills at all. Jets have a spawn interval, and there are only 2 up in the air for you to take down at any time. Even then, it's hard to get a clean kill with out the hot shot in the other plane crashing his plane or bailing as soon as he takes a couple hits.
Get good with the cannon to take down jets and helis, once you unlock rocket pods, run those and look for enemy vehicles. Once you're sure that there are no threats to you in the air, look for a ground target by spotting (you will only be able to get spots on tanks and jeeps unless you're flying tree-level), gain some altitude, slow the plane, and unload your rockets on the vehicle and follow up with cannon. Usually that will net you a disable or even a kill, if your teammates had been working the tank over already. Once you unlock the guided missiles, step up to that. Same thing: fire your missile at the tank and follow up with a strafing run, you'll usually get a disable. The guided missile also gives you a FLIR cam with magnification which allows you to spot infantry more easily, which is more helpful to your team than you, though with lots of practice, you'll be able to pull off snipes on unsuspecting infantry.
tl;dr: Jet is hard, skill up with cannon, don't circlejerk.

Got banned from a server tonight during a long round of conquest domination and after kicking the owners azz.
So pissed.![]()

Kimilein. That last part transcends into kids hovering the spawn destroying and killing players as they spawn. Im all for teamwork but they should color the areas of limitation differently so you can still piss outside the map in a plan or heli but have limited time within the enemy AO.
Idk how many times ivd been spawned killed by a deuschbag player. Also, when that starts happening, team mates give up hope and either leave or act stupid and team kill with vehicles or hopping into the driver seat of a heli and then purposely crash it.

Things I've learned from Non-hardcore mode:
- Silencers are useless if your weapon doesn't do an obscene amount of damage quickly
- The Mk11 rifle is useless
- Mp7 is useless
- M320 is still 1 shot kill with explosion perk
-------------------------
I managed to shoot down a Heli with a Rib boat with 1 shot. that was pretty much the highlight of the night for my kills...

For 360, if you guys like a good hardcore conquest match on the weekends, the AR15.com guys have our own server and platoon. Spawn campers don't generally get to stay long. Just search for AR15 in the server search. PS3 guys have one too, but I can't say I know how they roll.
