Kimilein. That last part transcends into kids hovering the spawn destroying and killing players as they spawn. Im all for teamwork but they should color the areas of limitation differently so you can still piss outside the map in a plan or heli but have limited time within the enemy AO.

Idk how many times ivd been spawned killed by a deuschbag player. Also, when that starts happening, team mates give up hope and either leave or act stupid and team kill with vehicles or hopping into the driver seat of a heli and then purposely crash it.

People who spawn camp aren't really they type that multitask well up in the air anyway. None of the really good jet pilots I've seen ever spawn camp and conversely, I've never seen a spawn camper get more than a couple kills in a round. That's why being good at taking down air targets down fast is key, you don't have to waste your time camping the enemy runway to survive. I like the challenge and will always let the enemy jet take off first.

There are servers that actually advertise themselves as boosting lobbies. Way to go DICE.

Those are fun to troll though. One of them was a Scout Heli boosting server. The guys would fly from flag to flag and capture flags in the chopper to get points. Set up C4/AT mine at the flag for lulz.

It might be just me but, I've used my KH2002 with a silencer, single shot, and the guy damn near needed 10+ shots.

Funny, the KH2002 with suppressor and foregrip is the only way I use the KH2002. There's practically no recoil and the bullet spread isn't bad either on medium-small maps like Métro and Bazaar. I did fairly well with that setup while I was getting my 500 kills in with it.

Dispite its lack of "punch" I also revert back to my Mk11 mod 0, it comes in handy when you have to engage at close range or engage in multiple targets from a distance.

Yeah jets are a bitch to learn, but I'm getting there. I find them to be very twitchy to control.

The choppers on the other hand, I think I'm a little better, but I'm still getting destroyed by good jet pilots.

I seriously had to SOFLAM (they'd think, "OH **** ROCKET!", flare, and fly away for a bit) every single airborne target just to get them off my guys. Then it got to a point where I had to switch to engineer with an IGLA, sit on my hill, and try to pick 'em off with 4 rockets... (they'd fly away, repair, come back )

Just got air radar for my chopper, makes it so much easier. No more sneaky jets popping me in the ass.

Dude, the same goes for me as an Engineer. I'm always wondering where the ef the recons are at with the their soflams? Oh yeah, they're hiding on some building top not playing the damn objective

You get a good squad of guys with say 2 Eng, 1 Medic, and 1 Recon - magic happens

same here. I think ive given up on jets, I cant seem to control my speed and learn how to turn fast enough.

choppers on the other hand, ive gotten progressively better and now im about to unlock the TV missle. last night my team kept getting owned by jets and a very good guy in a chopper, on gulf of oman. we couldnt even get out of spawn. it was getting so annoying

Getting spawn trapped is worst

This is where SOFLAM and Javelins are absolutely crucial. Switch to team speak, start yelling at everyone to equip Javs, setup the SOFLAM yourself off the carrier or hilltop above the opposite spawn, and start designating those targets

I'm sad but I've reached the magic 200hrs mark for this game I think it's time to lay it down for a bit, school starts soon, and time to refocus and spend my time more wisely.

The jet control button options are still effing stupid,

because yaw should be L2 & R2, and pitch and roll on the same stick.

Also, the view change is on my L3, so if I'm inputting a lot of control, sure enough, I hit L3 and start changing views. This usually happens when I am trying to line up another plane.

Also the service ceiling is still pathetic, not sure why dice won't do something about that. You do more than one Immelman in a row and you are stuck in the atmosphere, unable to move.


The tanks need the "rear view" button back, and the ability to swap the forward and reverse buttons, so they drive like in BFBC2. I still can't get used to that switch, and don't know why dice can't give us fully assignable control schemes.

anyone else having issues with the knife and taking dog tags? Ever since I got premium my knife only wants to slash at people, kind of annoying. Normally I have my scroll wheel binded to knife, which has always worked in the past, I've also tried equipping the knife first (6) and then attacking, but still only swipes at the enemies.

I think in the last patch they reduced the priority of takedowns, so using knife results in slashes more. I think it's retarded but then again I don't hardly ever use the knife unless I'm offing someone who is barely moving at all. Shooting them is faster.

For you guys that play on laptops, what are you using? The Sager gaming laptop I bought 2 years ago wouldn't even play the latest fps games at the time, and I can forget about BF3 now. So I'm starting to look at specs for a possible upgrade on black Friday.

I had been using an Alienware M15x for the past 3 years, never any performance issues on ultra settings, Now I'm using a desktop I built. There are some never updates to the Sager/Clevo's, pretty much all of them are the same though, Also I've heard good things about the samsung seires 7 gamer laptop.


My Alienware specs:
* Intel i5 2.27GHz
* 6 GB RAM
* AMD Radeon HD 6570m (ATI at the time of purchase)
* Slot load DVD W/R
* Windows Premium 64-bit

I can't seem to get enough of Oman and almost always look for a big ticket conquest match on that level. Most avoided? Probably, Metro. Always seems like such a cluster ef.

I end up playing Oman a lot, especially if I find a 500% ticket game. I happen to like Metro and games can be great if the teams are well matched (if not it's a rape fest).

The map I really like but rarely find a decent amount of players on is Sharqi. Was in a match on that map last night with two full, well matched, mic'd in teams and it was great.

The one map I don't like is Wake . Was okay with it at first (BF42 deja vu I guess) but now I'll quit and go to another game if it's a big ticket match.

LEAST: Wake Island. Really hard to keep a team based attacked going,

MOST: Strike at Karkand, especially in a high ticket server

For Close Quarters:

MOST: Scrap Metal

I don't hate any of the maps on CQ.
