This is how you build a Golf. I loved that car then, and its still my favorite to this day.

Cheers to 1552 for bringing us COMPO's.

    Chapel,

You have me racking my brain trying to remember Pat's username. His car was also the first I ever saw on Compomotive's and have loved them ever since. He lived in Central Florida at the same as I and helped me out on more than several occasions. It will come back to me...

    - I had Compomotives on my Mk1 back in 1998, best wheels I ever owned. They're far from light for a given size, but you WILL NOT find a stronger wheel. I sold these to my brother, who had his car tagged in the front end by an old LTD. The left front wheel took a direct hit and didn't bend at all, just some scuffs to show for it. The MO has always been my favorite.

    I like those, too.

Gotta check on getting USPS labels to Compo to ship directly to APO. SHouldn't be too bad, though. We ship to APO form here all the time.

    Cool, thanks.

So it would be direct from the UK to the APO in New York back to Germany? Can I get US prices shipped to my physical address in Germany??

It'll most likely be cheaper to forgo the APO and ship directly to your physical address.

    Love me some compomotive wheels.

Didn't realize that so many people had not known about these. These were widely used back in our days of our VW club scene (90's)

A number of factors could come into play... Is Compomotive shipping from the UK? Then I may have to pay in GBP and screw with German Customs (import duty and VAT).

I'd better just PM Brad and see what the options are.

Who did that Mk2 belong to? I saw one on CL a couple of months ago painted that same scheme advertised as a "track car" but it had no cage and seemed a little beat.

It belonged to Hubert. At that time he was working at Velocity, then he moved on to Eurosport.

He sold it at some point, It had a built 16V and a full cage.
