looks like I'm changing direction with wheel set up. I found a killer deal on a new set of discontinued Miro wheels that I'm picking up tomorrow. Let just say they are 18x8.5 Et 38's....sooooo Stoked!

Just got back from picking up my new set of Miro wheels and now it's final the saw blades are going to be put on hold. I literally got the last set ever made direct from Miro...woot woot! Now the question is what size tires to run? should I run 215/40 or 215/35 or possibly 205/40 on a 18" what do you guys think?

-Yeah looks I'm leaning towards 215/35 for sure Just hope I can get a good deal on tires..lol
Do those 512's still exist? I thought they turned to 912's I don't know I might be wrong. I want to stretch a good tire over them and keep my 20mm on them.

Yeahh, they still exist. Discounttiredirect.com is just the only distributor that Falken has selling them. $107 each.

Thanks for the heads up. Only question I have is what would stretch more Falken 512's,502's, or 912's on a 8.5 wheel.

^ I doubt there will be any stretch. I have to agree with Mikey though, I had 205/40 512 falkens on my Mercedes wheels and the rear wheels had such a nice subtle stretch.

18x8" are tuff, I dont have much experience with them.

I had one set of 18x8 with 215/35 Kuhmo ecsta's and they sat pretty square if that makes any sense.

Nic is on a 215/35 on his 8s up front (or was with the LM reps), he said the ride was not the best. I'm in the same boat this summer, 18x8 and trying to find a decent 205/40.

Suby guys run Nankang's 205/40 they say they have good stretch and decent ride…can't beat the price either. I think $70 a tire.

falken 512's stretch the best.. but they are really soft, and dont last very long.

unless you NEED to fit a wheel in the fenders, and the only way to do it is, running 35's i would deffinatly suggest running a 40 series

Sorry for the crap picture but I finally did a test fit with the 20mm's spacers on the 38 Et Miro. My final Et 18 I have some major poke...lol and I need to pull my rear fenders when I put on new tires. I also found some cheap tires that stretch that are 215/35 and maid by Pirelli. Hope to get some new tires on in a few weeks.

Correct James, et 18 on an 8.5 out back is actually pretty flush, as seen here:

-Yes I'm keeping the 20mm's on all 4 corners
-I'll play around with the camber once the tires are on
-Mad, is your Et all the same on all 4?

it is. you wont have to do anything on the rear except load the suspension, it will camber in on it's own.

      have fun with the fronts

I really liked those wheels Geoff…wish the offset in the front wasn't so poopy.
