I finally painted my wheels with the help of my buddy Richard and I have to admit I'm not happy with the color. Oh wellEspecialy after he tells me they look like Chevy cobalt wheels. Thanks Ass Hat!!
I guess I really do miss my white AMG's more than I think I do. Everything just seems to fall flat. I'll snap a few more pics tomorrow of the final product.
Sanded and ready for paint.
Rattled!

Agreed! It was an experiment that failed..lol. I'm actually looking to swap my pie plates back on. Maybe, even polishing them. Any sugestions?
#535
Can't believe those fender edges look like that! Guess that's what you get from being so aggressive on the fitment.
I'm digging the dark colored wheels
#537
Just to dark. Polished pie plates would look good. But I think wagons need to run at least 18s. Polished alphards would look super sick.
#538
I think you're right the wheels just get to lost. About 18's on a wagon I would agree but I've seen other Avants with 17's that look pretty rad. We'll see if the dude wants to trade for his Alphards. :crossing fingers: I'm also just considering getting Rotiform BLQ's in 18x9.5 et 25. I've heard they make a mono concave kind of like the NUE's. If that's the case then I would just get them PC'd Vintage white.

since no one is offering me any good trades or offers for my V22's I'm just going to put them back on my S but this time with 15mm spacers.

Last Wednsday the car decided to over heat and blow all of it's coolant.Mean while I'm at work and a get a emergency call from my wife... "Honey I think I killed the car" Me; "Are you guys ok? What happened". She then tells me that she decided to open the coolant reservoir to relieve the pressure for the cooling system. BOOM! The cap explodes and burns my poor wife's wrist. (She forgot to tell me that FYI until I got there) Any who our little boy Gavin is sitting in his Recaro seat calmly while I'm freaking out trying to figure out if I could even move the car and If my wife needs medical attention. Luckily, I had coolant and water in my miata for the S. I added the mixture in and started the car. It then turns over and sounds pretty normal. THANK GOD! We finish driving the car home slowly after we let it cool for a good 1hr and made it home safely. Then I proceeded to call one of my buddies up from J.L. Automotive. He then swings by after work and checks the car out just to tell me the water pump, coolant hose had taken a sh!t on me and that my wife is very lucky to have had just a minor burn. I'm just glad that neither my little boy or my wife got severely burnt or hurt!
Sorry for the rant I just had to get all out.
Any who...so the brake down will begin in the next few days and hopefully I'll have this suicidal beast back on the road yet again.

side note just added you as a contact on flickr so i can see updates before you post here haha.

Yeah tell me about it! I'm also glad that every one is safe and sound. Get ready for more random pics and changes to follow.
I have no regrets..all though there are times when I do miss my 1.8
No matter how pissed I get at the S I can't really find myself to sell it. Even my wife feels the same way about the Suicidal beast. There's something special about it I guess.

Do it! Just make sure to check the services records. Otherwise S4's are very rewarding despite all the little hick up's you might encounter.

Prep work is key! a 6 speed is going to be killer. I'm thinking of doing a swap sometime in the future. The tip on the S falls a little flat from the 6. You can't really engage the power bands and boost properly as much as the 6 speed version. No clutch kicks or heel toes.only throttle fluttering and breaking.
Basically The tip S is to tame for my taste.

Lets be honest though..overheating totally happens with 1.8t's.
Still love the noggy avant. Glad your wife was all good![]()
Drop it like it's hott.

Since my last post I've done a water pump, TB, thermostat and serpentine belt install on the S4. I've managed to change my front axles, raise up the car and swap back the pie plates for the rainy weather season. So far I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. Also bough my self a newer Mazda Miata & swapped on my coil overs/wheelsHere's what you guys have been missing since I've been MIA. I'll add more current pics of the S Later on.
The beginning!
TB's are such a pain in my arse...
