But this car has changed alot sense i first bought it.. Im hoping to drop it on coils and 16x9's before next summer...yes thats a long ways away, but i am going to collage..

Don't you find it easier to clean the rear window now??

I have a mk3 TD AAZ pushing 25psi and the soot buildup before the wing removal was a chore to clean off. Now that my wing is gone i can get the whole window clean, plus I too think it looks good without.

Keep it up man, she looks good.

You got heart thats for sure. First time builds usually do end up in taking the long way around. Please don't mount your wheels on backwards. You are also about to get another lesson.
Fit wide wheels, Do fender mods then paint car.

There's been lots of hatin in this thread. Does the OP appear to care? Nope.

It may not be the best of the best, but he's done a lot more than many of the people on this forum that got coils and wheels and called it a day.

    Keep it up man.

thanks! i wont mount them on backwards! hah diffently taking the long way around thats forsure. I wasnt planning on running wide wheels which is why i didnt roll/pull the fenderrs.. I was planning on tucking some fat fives or long beachs but i want poke too hah...still might change my mind. But once i get out and get a good paying job after collage shes getting torn apart and completly repainted (cause its not 110% perfect cause it was rushed ) and hopfully swap out the TD for either a TDi or 1.8t.. something decent on fuel also but more power.

    Thats my plans anyways.

I reither have a car look good first, the handle suspension and engine mods. I have been getting hate, but i dont care haha (should see my CO thread lmao) I know it may not be the best one on the net, but from where i am, I think my car is pretty dope.

And i plan on keeping it up! im planning on being one of those guys who owns the same car for yeaaars hah

I had many of chances to get coils but i put them off as there not needed right now in this stage, i hate the look of 14" rims with beefy tires slamed.

    anyways

    thanks for the encouragement

soooooo many things i saw wrong with your prepping for paint... but it turned out pretty nice my man, and you didnt need to primer the whole car just where its showing metal and you blend into the DA marks. just wet sand with block and it wold have been good next time take your weather stripping out, if you didnt mask it right with it in then in the future it will start to peal. (not hating just advise for future reference) texturing the moldings right after was a pretty dumb move tho, whats up for future plans? and did i see that your brothers engine bay used to be red????? why did he paint it white thats destruction.

well it was my first time doing any "real" body work. Was diffently a learning experice thats forsure! i know what to do and not to do next time. I took everything off except for the front window and side windows/trim.. I couldnt get it off in time and it was "suppose" to rain but never did. The moldings were already textured, just got painted over, so it was rough. If it was smooth, I would have left it cause it looked cleaner. The car was always alpine white. I painted the engine bay red because i started/be never finished shaving it and i couldnt leave it bare metal as its my daily. I ended up painting it red and its been like that for a year ..

    future planes?

    heres a list

    * id like to mount up my vette rims and coils for this summer

    * also depending on money and such, i want to get Euro bumpers-I am hoping a Buddy of mine buys a golf imported to NS, and part it out for me

*Id like to either swap out the engine for a Tdi (most likely) or something more powerfull and good on fuel.

    * And id like to COMPLETLY strip the car and do a full respary or color change.

But i dream big so anything can happen..pretty much just lies on how much money i can make hah

Well..my passanger seat was stuck stright up, so after 6 months of my rubbing my head on the roof, the glue gave out and the fabric fell off so i took all the plastics from the top to mid door off..In the hope to match them all black, and its been around 6 months and nothing has happened to it as other things became more important. I managed to buy another seat and transfer the back frame over to my seat. making it look and work good as new

Well and update worth posting I guess, last night I went to vantage and picked up tires for my rear corvette rims. My brother and I just mounted them and looks good! now I need to find 205s for the front and buy adaptors, pretty sure I have a leed on the front tires, just need money haha, but hoping wheels well be mounted for mvoc. Also going to picking up a set coils from spinny aswell.

    Enjoy!

thanks to me i installed the tires . aha. went smothly too which was surprising, considering the stretch and stiff/small sidewall.

well a couple days ago i picked up a set of 16" rims and tires (205/40) I bought them for the tires so the rims are forsale.. ( chrome 3 spoke 4 bolt) As like what i always doo..i never fully inspect what im buying.. all 4 tires have great tread but two have a bubble in the side wall.. I only needed two tires anyways but oh well..

the tires are nexen n3000 205/40/16...they well be going on my 8.5 vette wheel...im hoping they stretch decent atleast...if not there gonna come off, and im gonna order a set of either 195/40/16 yok type s or 205/40/16 512's...
