EDIT - SEE POST 131 FOR SOME ACCIDENT PHOTOS

Well, our 2008 Jetta SE lease was up a couple weeks ago and we have found our replacement...2011 Buick Regal CXL Turbo (T06) and includes the following:

    * Seat adjuster, front passenger 4-way power lumbar
    * Steering wheel controls, mounted audio and cruise controls
    * Rear Parking Assist
    * Power outlet, 120-volt
The dealer was awesome (Superior Buick/GMC in Dearborn) and the owner of the dealership delivered the car to my house personally. Talk about customer service! Plus, with the GM employee discount +$1,000 owner loyalty, our lease payments are not much higher than the Jetta lease.

Sorry for the bad pictures...car was just dropped off like 30 minutes ago...

How much of a better car is it than the VW it replaced?

Awesome. I drove a non-turbo a few weeks ago and loved it. I'm seriously going to consider a GS in the future.
I love all cars, I just happen to own a few pieces of german crap at the moment.

Multitudes. And that is nothing against the MKV Jetta...this is just a MUCH better car.

Obviously, hasn't broken in so I haven't really gotten on it yet but it has LOTS of torque!

A GS would have been awesome but we couldn't wait and hopefully someone will come out with a performance chip that will push this turbo to GS power

Yes, the "T" badge is standard on turbo versions.

Good luck finding a manual...plus, my wife was against that idea anyway. But I do have the Aprilia for when I want to use a clutch and shift my own gears

I hope it's better...a Jetta 2.5 SE is probably $10k less. I liked this car until I read the C&D review. Looks good and I wish you luck with it!

    Interior pics?

Awesome! My buddy and I were looking at a few last weekend and I really fell in love with the Turbo. I really want to take one out for a drive. I love those wheels too!

Thanks! I think the base Regal at around $26K would be an improvement over the Jetta SE we had (MSRP of $23K). However, we did like the Jetta so I am not knocking that. This car is just that much nicer IMO.

    Will add interior pictures ASAP...

I would definitely test drive one if you are on the market for a new car. I love the wheels as well, that is why I went with the T06 package. The highest package is the T07 which adds navigation but I didn't think that was worth an extra $2K...

Looking at the Buick site, is there even a CXL Turbo with a manual? I didn't see one
    Possibly only on the GS.
I can't wait for the GS

Congrats, I test drove a one a few weeks ago and was blown away but sadly my garage is full and the replacement for my wife's IS250 has already been decided.

Excellent car though, love everything about it.

You can build a CXL Turbo with manual transmission on their website but I have yet to see one at a dealership...

Nice car...considered doing a Vauxhall or Opel conversion on it? Nothing against Buick, but it would be different and mad tyte euro.

The Buick reps I spoke to said it would be. Need to take that with a grain of salt I guess until one is in the wild.

The GS definitely will have a manual.

Nah...it is a lease, plus I will enjoy telling people in disbelief that it is a Buick.

Damn, you're right. I am disillusion to believe this car will ever fill the void left in my heart from when I sold the GTO...

    Thanks for that

PS: The Buick is more practical for family/winter use though...

BTW, my own experience at the Buick dealer I visited was top notch. They wanted me to keep the Regal I tested overnight, and didn't ask questions when I returned it and didn't want to buy. Seeing PlatinumGLS's delivery experience reminded me of that.

Yes, the dealer was great. The owner said if I EVER had ANY question or concern, to call him directly. And he means it to.

I have a small family and they fit in the GTO just fine lol, winter is a different issue as I'm sure it will do just fine with some snow tires but mine has never been driven on snow.

Hopefully this becomes available just to have an excuse to make the family grow.

Come on! Even Cathy's mom isn't old enough to drive a Buick! Or is she using the silverado as a minivan? Either way, Sharp car. Wheels remind me of the c5 a6 wheels.

really cool if you're not into that kind of car.

I had a Camry - it was nice to turn your brain off and arrive at your destination.

I love what Buick is doing and who they're becoming. These are available with a true manual correct?

On a side note, I'm counting down the days 'til I see those wheels on a VAG product, say a MKV Golf. Very reminiscent of the A8 monoblocks.
