    I do think the Wilpons need to sell the team.

    However I don't believe that Reyes is the reason. I think it was a smart baseball move not to sign him to a contract equal too or great then what the Marlins gave him.

    I think how the Mets handle Wright this year will be the true gauge on where these owners stand.

    RIP to the Kid

    Even as a Yankee fan, I had a lot of love for GC growing up. Just an amazing player and an amazing person. You hear nothing but awesome stories from fans about the graceful and classy way he treated them. ...and the same from his teammates and other associates.

    If he starts 25 I'll be amped and hopefully he can be 75% of what he was before this injury.

    I was thinking about bumping the Mets thread but god damn if talkin about the Mets isnt just a bummer nowadays

    - David Wright: Hurt his oblique
    - Ike Davis: Valley Fever (Wtf? )
    - Mets told to pay $83mm in Madoff suit and could face another $300mm in penalties after trial
    - Lenny Dykstra gets 3 years in robbery case

    1) For the sake of Mets, and hopefully for David, this is just a day-to-day issue.

    2) Ike doesn't think he has it.

    3) Mets are only on the hook for a little over $1m right now. The judge doesn't feel Picard could prevail if and when this gets to trial for additional $$$. We'll see how this plays out.
