    A arms with poly bushings and new ball joints
    tie rod ends
    wheel bearings

    Nice, you only can replace the one tie rod end, the other one, you need the hole tie rod, at least on my 83. Im just going to do it when I replace the hole rack.

    thats probably just your 83 i replaced both on mine

    got a few more areas painted on the rabbit and also got my radiator fully installed as well as my exhaust manifold more pics to come today


    got front fender installed

    painted whole front end

    painted drivers side door

    still left to paint:
    rear end
    passenger door
    drivers side front fender
    & area under front windshield where the wipers are

    Progress hell yes


    intake manifold adapter and intake filter K&N installed
    also have exhaust header and downpipe installed


    radiator hoses installed and filled with coolant
    still have a leak and think i found it leaking from the head gasket not good but will need to change it for the turbo set up


    manifold adapter up close


    also got all my windows back in
    it was a pain in the butt
    thank god for vaseline LOL

    also hook up cherry bomb exhaust straight to down pipe sounds good not to loud

    took for a test drive better excel with gaser intake mani and four 2 one exhaust header and better response all around love it

    lol came in 1st at san tan classic by default only mki cuz know one else can get there mki running lol jkjk

    hope to have some comp at the next car show

    tho i may be the one not there because long story short i have to change my core support for real now so ima buy a new ingle round core support and word of advice carry tow hooks always for your mk1 or it doesnt come out pretty on the core support pics to come of damage on way home from san tan classic

    and the bad coolant hose blew out and didnt have my tow hooks like and idiot and no other place to put tow chain so gives me a great excuse to change my core support to single round crosshairs

    It was nice to see this project in person and meet you Chris, I was quite impressed. That sucks about the core support but I'm sure you'll have it changed out in no-time. Congrats on the win, even if it was by default!

    ordering what i can for the turbo have 2 10x1mm to -4AN male to male fittings on the way one for supply line connections to turbo and one on oil filter housing for supply line as well

    also have a low profile oil return adapter with a -10AN on it

    slam pan with turbo setup on it from oldskoolvw.com about to order

    car ran and started great but i noticed coolant leaaking from head gasket not alot so i changed it out and now i can get my car to start i think im pretty low on fuel or i need to bleed my fuel lines

    haha noob mistake but it was my first head gasket change ive done my self and i forget to redo the timing so now its all back together did the timing myself and now its all on point fired right up just need to put my exhaust on and i have a daily driver again haha
