What is something you learned last year that you are going to do differently this year?

I'm so glad that I picked up this pair of turbos, they look stunning. Autoart did a fantastic job modeling both of them.

Impressive collection! Seriously...Can anyone just put up a few pointers on how to go about modifying these cars? I think i might try it!

    a couple pointers:

-start off with cheap ones. you can get decent ones for under $10 at walgreens in 1:24 scale.
-invest in a dremel tool. in order to get some of my cars to sit the way they do, there was quite a bit of cutting involved.
-ebay alwasy has good deals on wheels. look up tamiya & fujimi. also sometimes you can find folks who are selling bundles of old wheels from their model kits.
-bigger is not always better. i find a lot of wheels that are just too damn big for my model kits. fitment is just as crucial on a model car as it is on a real one.
-hobby lobby is a good place for superglue. buy "extreme power" medium thickness and "extreme power" accelerator - it's a small spray bottle that dries the glue super-quick.

most of all, have fun. almost all my models have original paint and are just hammered with a nice set of wheels. ebay is a good place to find almost anything including wheels, engines, decals, etc.

post pics when you get into it!

Used my 1958 Chevy LCF Quad Cab Kustom Kit to make the hauler for this pig. Truck has full seat belts and detailed interior. Used a custom laminated herringbone pattern for the wood trailer bed. Made from ash. The car sports custom motor...dash gauges...belts...cage...fuel cell and NOS tanks. Shifter as well. Weathered it to look like someone took grandpa's hot rod out from the barn...put in a new mill and matched a hauler for it.

Found a box of my old toy cars last night. Tons of old Matchbox, Corgi, Dinky, and Hot Wheels cars.

Including this nugget. A 1968 Matchbox Beetle. Still made in England at this time! And it's older than me by 6 years.

Back in October my girlfriend surprised me with this awesome gift that I wasn't expecting. She bought it on Ebay and had it shipped from Germany. 1:18 scale RUF Yellowbird by Spark. In the near future going to get a Kyosho F40 (high end version) to replace the 333SP in the cabinet to have my two favourite cars of all time and two 1987 icons (yes, she even lets me have some real estate in the living room for die-cast).
