Patience grasshopper.
Made some progress today, got the drivers door removed and stripped of seals, glass, wiring, etc. Got it straightened out, and ready for primer. I took a few pictures, but they don't show too much so I won't bore you guys with them. All I have left to do on the shell is straighten the rockers and it will be ready for epoxy.

I believe it was made by Racecraft. I'm going to have a T3 flange welded on soon, since I plan on running a Precision turbo instead of the GT30 this thing is v-banded for.
I also picked up a Cabrio trunk lid for the trunk recess and emblem, hopefully getting started on that soon.
Thanks for the support guys.![]()

The door for the golf was only $37 from the dealer? I know im late, but if it was that cheap im going to head to the dealer for some doors instead of junk yard

If I Remember Correctly (IIRC) the hoods were $30, and all VW dealers. They're blowing them out because "nobody" drives Mk3s any more. A/C clutch for VR6, normally ~$450--> mine for $60. Makes me wonder what else they have that they are blowing out. Awesome stuff Darren. It'll look great.
PS: I may want the engine bay shot ~soon.![]()

Got a little work done yesterday.
Buttoned up the fenders, got them flared how I want, they're ready for primer now.
And started to tack my Cabrio plate recess into the hatch. Pretty excited that the trunk lid I got came with a mint VW emblem, which fits the Golf hatch perfectly, so I don't need to worry about finding a new emblem. Also, the wiper hole will be welded up soon.
In her current state.
Can't wait until she is in paint!![]()

My plan was to shave it as well, I really don't need it to work since I have the popper.
But a little update, I shaved the wiper hole, and finished up my welds around the plate. Just need to do a little finishing with a hammer and dolly and get it smoothed out.
