I apologize for not reading more into this before posting but is the only difference with this cosmetic? Any functional benefits? I actually like the shifter the car came with better if it's only looks but just wondering.
If your gas cap light comes on even if you think you tightened the cap, try pulling on the cap as you tighten it. Worked for me.

you will love them, seriously. sticky.. fun.. rubber.

as for the shifter. mine is still in the batcave.

I think ( At least in my case ) its a much cheaper alternative than buying a new OEM MKV shifter surround.

Yeah much cheaper, and I sure do like it more than stock. Just a heads up for when you install yours. I reused the stock plastic part from the stock shifter on the new shifter (the part the metal rod goes into). I noticed the stock one is much shorter, and I was having a hard time with longer part of the MKVI shifter.

You can pinch the clip to remove the tube running transversely across the engine bay at least.

As for hitting the hood, do you have the liner removed (if I remembered right you do as I see the modshack-esque trim piece)? I would adjust the way the hose connects at the throttle body...pull it towards the driver side some (don't be afraid to expose a little of the aluminum TB, the hose will still create a seal around the lip. This allows you to push down on the elbow portion of the intake and retighten the TB clamp when you get a little bit more clearance for the hood.

I didn't have this issue installing my intake but a few others seem to be seeing this "rubbing" right after install but quickly finding such adjustments to the alignment to fix this permanently.

Yeah but there's still 2 nuts holding it against the firewall. I removed one and but the other I can't reach, doesn't help that I can't find my ratchet set too

Yup, no hood liner. I already tried to get a bit lower by lowering the air scoop down a bit. Thanks for the tip Beta, I will try and tinker with it some more

Oooo yeah. I just left the firewall portion and the short tube attached where it is for now. You need the block off kit from the A3 to block the hole once you do that...and I haven't gotten around to buying one.

If you still have issues, let me know. The silicon hoses allow for some adjustment...just be brave about it...doesn't have to sit perfectly flush, just need a good seal with the hose clamps.

Pulled it out a bit from the top of the throttle body, managed to bring down the canister a few mm.

This is how its attached to the air scoop, If I make it sit flush it just sits up too high.

Had to remove and re-run the coaxial cable, the connector was too big to pass through the rear passenger trim panel

    Almost done though
