Had a family emergency and couldn't make it to Fastivus... car was washed and ready too .

Just finished installing the .:R line dash trim and the dash tray today. Im not sure how I feel about the dash trim, maybe it will grow on me. I'm loving the dash tray though

Here's some quick pics and let me know what you guys think

I kind of dig the black panels around the a/c control knobs on the new dash kit.

I like the anthracite. imo, changing the aluminum brushed trim with CF or 3M dinoc trim would look dope alongside the anthracite trim.

What did you do with the climatronic thing after installing the dash tray.

Not a bad idea going with some 3M dinoc

The temp sensor? I just unplugged it, haven't noticed anything weird yet.

Ah, I ask because it seems people have shied away from the dash tray because of that.

Yeah, all the diy's said if you have climatronic, you can't do it. But the people that have done it have had no issues. Some tucked the sensor in and some just unplugged it. Im going to scan the car with my VCDS and see if I'm getting any codes.

    Install done

    Before:

    After:

Quality is top notch on the intake, I couldn't stop looking at the inside of the tube . Took me a while to figure out how the bracket was suppose to go. But I got it sorted it by looking at install pics here. Had to remove the plastic bottom part that was left over from the stock intake that the Evoms box attached to. A little help from my brother holding the Modshack in place while I attached it to the MAF was needed. I may eventually get the noise tube delete, still undecided on that.

I did run the Modshack intake before and after installing the low pro trim. I'm a bit worried about the low pro trim, since it leaves a gap between the raintray and the firewall. Noticed a deeper sound coming from the engine bay, even without the low pro trim. Installed the trim and went on a second drive, wow. Much more engine noise and definitely deeper sound, nothing dramatic but I noticed it.

If you are in a marker for an intake, take a look at the Modshack intake. A great looking intake and a bit cheaper than what is out there in the market for our cars. We all know most intakes for our cars don't do much for power anyway. Color options are also a huge plus

Anyone know if the Noise Pipe delete parts can be bought at the dealer? $100 at ECS for a plastic tube seems steep...

You can buy it from an Audi dealer for sure, dunno what the price would be though. It is an A3 3.2 intake to manifold pipe (A3 doesn't have the noise pipe)
