It excites me. Is this like an Armored Core ripoff (similar mech combat / thrusters / movement, Raven vs. Hawken, etc)? Because I loved Armored Core. Actually, now I wanna go play Armored Core and design mechs. Thanks.

Armored Core sucked. It was way too slow. This looks more like the classic Mech Warrior series, which is actually being revived.

Not sure I am too excited about bunny hopping mech combat.

Mechs are slow lumbering machines weighing up to 100 tons. They are not fast and nimble vehicles. Except the small scout mechs like the raven.

I LOVE the environment though. Very futuristic Asia feeling to me.

Why can't a 100 ton mech be built to be agile and with enough power to make it move like it wasn't 100 tons?

I have the same feeling, but it stems from wanting to play more games like the original Mech Warrior and Earth Siege. Mechs can move fast, but there's something about piloting a heavy ass mech and trying to dodge lasers and missles. You have more limitations to your abilities, so you have to be more calculative. Not saying there's anything wrong with games like Armor Core, or fast moving bots like Gundam - just saying personally its more fun to play slow mechs.

Looks cool and looks like it would/will probably be a PC exclusive. Make it for my Mac or 360 and I'll buy it

the sound fx are incredible! as long as they don't add any cheesy music or screaming vocals it should be great.

I just want to see a proper MechWarrior RPG. The Battletecth universe is one of the richest sci-fi universes ever created, yet its barely been touched in any meaningful fashion.

I was interested in this originally..but after watching the game play videos, it lost me completely. It's a bit too fluid and fast for a mech game. The fun of being in a Mechwarrior game was the massive difference in speed, maneuverability of the platforms. Huge Assault class mechs stomping slowly around, obliterating light recon mechs darting from cover to cover.

This is truly just an FPS, and looks way too fast. Ignore the cockpit screen, and it's just another shooter (granted using mecha as a premise means you can have infinitely more interesting weapons). I'll pass.

Here's hoping that new Mechwarrior game gets funded some time.

reminds me of what happens if you mix the visuals of MechWarrior with the tempo of Virtual ON.
    I'll try it for sure.

I'm all signed up! At this point. it's the only mech game out there, and I will most def give it a try. I can't wait!
