my rear perches are frozen.. i recieved the set of coilovers from you guys about a month ago and had no issues until i tried to adjust the rear. took them to a shop and they told me to try and contact the vendor or place you got them from.. i know theyre covered for two years in the warranty so is there anything you guys can do for me here?
Many times coilover perches are not actually seized, but they have some debris in the threads that are not allowing them to turn.
First, on the rear of your MK5/MK6, did you remove the perches to adjust them, or did you try to do this on the vehicle?
I have seen this before many times even with my own car. There has to be some debris in one of the threads that has gotten jammed in there.
First you need to take the perch out of the car.
Then you need to clean the threads either below the perch or above the perch (depending on which way you have more thread showing), and then lower/raise the perch into the newly cleaned area by 2-3cm to expose the threads that are currently under the perch that you cannot see.
Then you can clean out any debris that is there, and visually go over the threads to see if there is any issues. When it is all clear, the your perch will move along the threads easily.
Let me know how you make out, and we can go from there.

I've had mine on now for a little but just got around to cleaning the car and taking a pic. Miro 19s Helpers are all still in, still room to go down another inch or so if I remember right. Maybe a tad more. This is where I'll be leaving it though.

I just got off the phone with my shipping company.
The FK shipment has been in customs since Tuesday this week, and we have no indication when it will be out. All they can tell us is that the shipment has been scheduled for a full inspection. I am not sure what this means, but it sounds painful
I am checking twice daily on the status and will give you all an update once I hear anything.
Just as a bit more inspiration, here are a few pics from another customer that has recently installed this kit on his MK5:
6/10/2011 - At 12:00 PM Pacific time today, we have received an update from US Customs.
Due to a large backlog of inspections at the port of entry for our FK order, the shipment been in a holding warehouse waiting to be inspected and processed.
As of this afternoon, our shipment is finally in the inspection/clearing stage and US Customs anticipates it to be released within 72 hours (business hours), aka no later than Wednesday June 15th.
If you have an outstanding order, your kit will be shipped immediately once our warehouse receives the shipment.
For those of you that are on the fence waiting to order, we are accepting Pre Orders at this time - First Come First Shipped!
If you have any questions please give us a PM, Email or Call.
