Low doesnt automatically = better. It's a good OEM-style project.

I'm guessing it's the angle and how the car is situated. The low-looking angle is on the PS, and the bigger wheel gap is on the DS.

yea to me thats the perfect ride hight... just enough to cancel that gap and sit the wheels right. any lower would be bags or coils all the way down style. the pics make it look clean

It looks like to get a feature you just fill out the form, submit, and then possibly get chosen.

It's a better offering than recently, but still:

"Who gets to drive this car?
Me and only me. You know mother’s they don’t understand how low your car is so they take speed bumps at 20km/h."

I didn't know sport springs were that low

He also says it's an 08.5 when he talks about the new FSI engine he got, that's funny I have an 08.5 with a TSI since they switched halfway through the model year.

Nice looking car, but I don't consider "black/white theme" on the list of exterior modifications.

And lastly, love the final pic of the steering wheel. I bet if I tried, I could take a better pic of mine, I have the exact same one, I'll submit one of my MKVI shift knob look out for me in Vortex autobiography in May

Also, I do realize I sound like a total douche. However, I just feel like these 19 yr old kids being featured need to put more effort into their submissions, "most humorous/embarassing story" is taking 2.5 hours to remove the FSI engine cover?

      Quiet down, underling.

I'll make the same general statement I've made in recent A/B threads- if you don't like what you're seeing, submit your own car. It's really that simple.

... and then sit back and watch people criticize yours when it's featured.

Spend less time complaining and more time submitting, chief. It's really that simple- take the time to submit yours, and I bet it'll get featured. There's no grand conspiracy here. I promise.

There's only one "right" way to modify these cars; you've been here long enough to know that.

I may submit mine simply because it's improperly modified and to prove that someone with a gigantic e-wang can get featured.

I think the wheel gap is the same all around actually, it just SHOWS more on the close up pic because the far away shot is so heavily edited, the blacks just run together.

I get that you just submit and can get featured...but I mean, isn't there some type of minimum criteria? Other than the Oettinger bumper (which I actually like), it looks like every other next to stock GTI rolling around lol.

I agree with the 08.5 FSI thing too....which is actually why I came to post...haha. So is he saying his TSI was having problems so they downgraded him to an FSI for free? I hope it's just confusion on his part, but I would be pissed if I bought a TSI model and they threw an FSI back in it lol!

Is that like buying a pant at the Gap? You must be the person to go to when I'm looking for a scissor.

How about whomever is in charge of picking out the cars to be featured just makes an executive decision that lately they just aren't worthy of being featured? I never have thought the Driver's Gear catalog made one a "tuner".

I can overlook that fact, but how about featuring people who contribute to the site on a regular basis?

I just looked this kid up and he has 2 posts... both of which he was looking for a front bumper.

      http://forums.vwvortex.com/member.php?565498-vdub333

And this is overlooking the fact that it's a feature with two photos... that last generic shot of a steering wheel doesn't even count.

the Oettinger bumper looks an awful lot like the new gli chin minus the carbon/black beard
