On how much lowering, Koni does not publish how low they go, and we have not gotten any answers from inqueries, there is approx 60mm of adjustment up front and 30mm in the rear. We do not believe that they go up any from stock height, and they may in fact start lower than stock before adjustment, but not sure how much.

Koni's are one of the best riding coilovers on the market, however they are not necessarily going to be any softer than stock, even on their soft settings. They will be more controlled than your stock suspension. The ride is certainly not harsh though.

If comfort is your primary concern, you may also want to consider Koni FSD's, which I would say is going to be the only shock with a better ride, however they will only work with minor drop springs (Eibach pro-kit, WRD sport, Neuspeed sport, H&R OE sport)

Looks like the best option (as suggested by Koni) would be to just get the following shocks, which are basically the same as what come in the kit, but not chrome plated.
