EV Strter Flexplate Troubles

I got problems. My 93 automatic keeps eating starters and starter bushings. Looks like the teeth on the starter ring are worn off and I found receipt where it was replaced about 8 months ago. Also looks like the trans has taken a beating where the bushing goes in but I think a new bushing and some epoxy will take care of that.

First off. Is the starter ring on the torque converter or is it a separate flex plate?

Where to get 1?

Any good write ups on auto trans R&R would be nice too.
