As low as I will go around here. (Some military bases have HUGE speed bumps) Not to mention the Syncro rear subframe sits MUCH lower than a normal Golf.
Destroyed my first oil pan back in November (and broke all the engine mounts in the process...)

its just high enough to make up the drit road at work and the 4 speed bumps and my 70mile commute
not bad for 195.50.15 and cheap raceland coils

old mk2 5 years ago no real issues at this height patech coilovers
4 years ago 13x8 steels. h and r ultra lows (hooks were bent flat. self notched axels and tie rods both sides .. never busted a pan tho. just some leaky drainplugs and scraped holes thru a few pans. Perfect example of y u dont need a skidplate on a 8v.. only stops you from going low
new mk2.. 16v lip folded under car. couldnt find a 8v lip. 15x6 and 7 165/45's the small ass tires put this car about the height of my old gli on 13's. subframe would drag on any roads that were not flat. H and r ultra lows
and current on staggard et 14x8 steels. ultra lows all the way down as with the dails. 195/45/t1r's very drivable at this height. no issues on undercarrage with a little care. (this pic was before the settled) but still id like to take the fronts down 3/4 of a inch but id have to pull my helpers and would be close the the phone dial height

Old Coupe on VMAXX coils wound almost all the way down. Rode like crap but I still miss that car. Front mud flaps were always scraping on the gound.
13x7 and 13x8 ATS Classics
Current Carat, not nearly as low as the coupe, Koni coils with about an inch of thread in the front and rear.

No bags on my 90' Jetta. 80/60 JOM CupKit. With additional 10mm Lowering caps in front.
I use this car as a daily driver in any weather and on any road. That why in the last picture i have a new bumper because i tore it off during a heavy snowfall.
