This thread makes me wanna slam the sh!t out of my car to a point where function is pretty much completely depleted. Yea. I'm one of those guys

Honestly, how do you guys ride this low? I wanna go low but I already scrape on stuff everywhere. Any super special tricks? I'm dropping my car an inch for sure, giving my front lip 2" of clearance. I wanna go lower though

notch your frame for the tie rods and the cv. jsut be careful, i dd my car to downtown seattle, with 1/4" front lip to ground. untill the crown on the road ground it comlpetly down. find the shallowest driveways and take speedbumps at crazy angles. above all, dont be afraid to scrape, our lips are just cheap pieces of plastic and the frames can take alot of abuse. only really gotta worry about the pan. buy extras...

I hate air-ride too! They're so damn practical. I mean, to have the ability to raise and lower your car must suck. Add to that saving your flares, tires, fenders, oil pans, and subframes. They can go everywhere too, that must suck.

Because you would like to have air-ride but can't afford it?

    Great reason.

I guess I'll throw my shiz in here. FK Highsports on 16x8.5 205/40/16. The only clearance measurement I've taken was just a hair under 2" to oil pan which was before I lowered the car a little more.

    '92 GTI | 12v VR6 | FK Highsport coilovers | 16x8.5" Corvette Salad Shooters | 205/40/16 | full MK3 front subframe/rear beam | Zimmerman front/rear rotors | TT chip | TT exhaust
