    It looks fine.....
You don't need to lower it like these others have suggested. I don't know why everyone has to come in and say things like this, it doesn't have to be rubbing the wheewells to look good. And when it is that low you need to correct spindle angles up front or you loose the designed suspension geometry for the suspension travel.
    Function > Form !!!!!

It all depends on what you are going for, and from the looks of the body work, paint (or lack there of), and wheels, he is going for a show car look. With that being said, 4x4 mode doesn't flow very well with the rest of the car. Wide wheels and stretched tires doesn't do much good for "Function > Form".

^^^ What he said. I won't even bring the form v. function argument into it--I just think the cars look
better without being dumped. That said, to each his own.

And more to the point of the thread, the car looks great. I absolutely love the flat black.

Thanks guys most of my money is being sucked into the black hole I lovingly call my GTI. I grabbed the wheels from a friend, that needed some cash, they are still growing on me.

Here is my dilemma with this set up
    1. I scrape the cupra lip EVERYDAY, just waiting for it to rip off!
    2. Nissan fitment so i have adapters that push the wheels out too far IMHO.
    3. If I go with thinner adapter I'm told I'll probably rub against the struts.
    4. Need to roll the fenders... hope that will help with the rubbing, and she rubs EVERYDAY!
    5. Just seems like TOO much silver on a matte black car!
    6. Sold my black and red wheels already so no going back right now!

    the "black hole"

LoL, OP is rubbing and dragging that R32 all over town and you guys say "needs to be lower"?
Hahaha, then he post a pic of his GTI that tucks and drags nutts all over town!

He just powned the noobs and I bet more silly comments are soon to follow.
Not everyone wants to remove the fender liners just for a photo shoot.

I have to agree with every one who commented about the ride height. I live in Colorado Springs. I had the wonderful idea of lowering my R by 2in ... after the bumper was torn off by a chunk of ice and gravel in the road, I raised it back to almost stock height again. Cracks in the bumper and scrapped up undercoat from a low-ride R is Ghetto! I assume Washington is rather similar, if you care about your R and actually want to drive it around crazy mountain roads ... adjust back to almost stock height then widen the stance and upgrade to coil-overs, sway-bars, and such.

Obviously if you live in a flat area and your R is just a show car, you can keep it dumped and not worry about the damage associated. But if you enjoy driving like a crazy man up long mountain, windy curvy roads at stupid speeds like me ... your R will love you for not dumping it!!

    That hatch is sick!

I too never was into wheels like that, makes me think of like them 70's cadi crome multi-spoke wheels... Lots of people on here go nuts for them, but I cannot comprehend why.

I finally rolled the fenders and that has eliminated almost all rubbing. For the winter i'll be putting on a matt black set of Aristos to play around on.
