yeah i was thinking gwen was a possibility too. her father is a good twist pick.
and i agree, holder is great. cracks me up.

I've watched this show from the very beginning and enjoyed every episode. I just wished they revealed who the real killer was and maybe start off season 2 with how and why Rosie was murdered. The characters are all great. My favorite being Holder.
I was thinking it was Mayor Adams or Senator Eaton (Gwen's Father). But once I pick a suspect, the show throws you for a loop.

Yeah, Holder is da man. "y0 I gots this!"
Obviously there's a greater conspiracy goin' on since somebody got a detective to do their bidding. So with that in mind, as said before, Gwen's father is behind things.
#74
Gwen's father is always behind things. Anytime you see this guy in any show, you know he is going to be up to no good.![]()
#75
on the previous episode, i was getting so annoyed when mulder and sculley picked up the "old ball and chain"
the amount of noise they were making with their gum was driving me crazy![]()
i liked the last episode, i never had any idea they'd try to stretch this one case more then one season.

I don't understand why some people are mad at the finale. This is a show and not a "mini-series". Season 2 is going to be interesting more subplots and twists.

#79
I definitely thought this was how it was going to be.
While it sucked that you did not find out what was what it does leave a bunch of great cliff hangers for the next season and possibly others.
The brilliant possibility I thought of is what if they do not solve this case and it something in the background through multiple seasons? You would have the following seasons deal with its own case while things come up every so often about Rose's murder.
#80
Some thoughts...
Yeah, politics can be a dirty game. But framing an opponent for murder? Isn't that taking things a little too far? So for the time being, it looks like Gwen's dad and the recently ex-mayor are pulling the strings.
If those two somehow knew someone else killed Rosie then lead the authorities (with Holder on the inside) to Richmond, then they're taking dirty politics to a whole new level. Or...
They had Rosie taken out, then laying all the crumbs to Richmond, then that's downright evil.

Seems like a lot of people were expecting the killer to be revealed in the season finale: http://tv.yahoo.com/killing/show/467...ht-was-awesome

i think it is Gwen. She couldnt compete with his dead wife, and was even more threatened by the ho's he was seeing. So she took care of Rose, so that she wouldnt have to compete against her any more. Then when she found out that the others were still in play, she got revenge by lying to the popo.

just a heads up, the two hour season premiere is this Sunday April 1st at 8:00pm on AMC.

AMC usually puts the entire previous season of a show on their on-demand channel before the next season starts. I hope it's the same deal with The Killing b/c I need to watch the last couple of episodes before Sunday.
#86
Did anybody watch this episode?
I was slightly dissapointed they went with the entire department being in on it, big conspiracy story line. BUT by the end of the episode I was fairly happy with where they went with it and was pretty into it.
Excited for next weeks episode.![]()

I do not know if all it is big conspiracy as much as there are multiple agendas in play.
I am wondering if the Lt was part of some conspiracy or if he was just making everything go away so an embarrassing case would go away.
I also had the impression that Holder was just fool that was used by the actual conspirators. My impression at one point was Holder genuinely believed Richmond was guilty and they were doing what had to be done to put him away. He then found out things weren't what he thought.

My wife and I just watched the entire season 1 on Netflix in the last 3 days and we finally watched the new episode today. We are totally hooked. She freaking loves the show.I had no backstory on the original show so I wasn't expecting to know all the answers by end of season 1. My wife called it on Richmond's suicidal attempt. Damn. The scene in the car between the bald Lt. guy and Holder when he gets called a dirty cop and a crackhead junkie was some powerful stuff.

yeah i honestly believe holder meant well taking the "shortcut" and really felt like he was doing what he was supposed to do.
unfortunately, like that cop said, he is a past junky so people know his history and no matter what he does, it will always be used against him.
hopefully linden and him figure their stuff out and get going again.
overall, definitely a good episode and glad it's back. although, i wish i had re-watched the first season before this one.

So I was watching The Killing season 2 premiere again today and noticed something.
They were able to blow up a video still and get a tattoo off an arm in the reflection of the bicycle rear view mirror.
The tattoo was of some Japanese comic/manga/anime character
Then I noticed they made a point of showing Lindens kid reading some Japanese comic/manga/anime
He seems like a bad kid and is around Rosie's age

I've never been so infuriated at a season ending episode in my entire life. The fact the murder wasn't resolved in the final episode practically had me throwing my tv out the window. Will not be partaking in season 2
I can't see how they'll drag the murder out an entire second season. Their viewership is going to plummet is that's the case.
#94
hearing mudhoney on the show tonight was pretty fvcking awesome...
#95
just a heads up to people angry about it taking so long to find the killer, the original The Killing on Danish television took all the way through season two before Rosie's killer was found.
good episode tonight. really crazy to see how Stan's old mob boss was involved in everything, which as me thinking Stan must have had some outstanding debt or something...
seems like Linden might be able to reign in Holder and keep him on the straight and narrow.

I swear that this show attracts the biggest wussies ever. All this constant crying about how the show wasn't wrapped up in a pretty bow for them last season. Go away and watch a sitcom. This is a great show and it's even better now that there are other angles.
#97
i'm glad they gave linden a variety of sweaters to choose from this season.
#98
should I wear the green, off green, or brownish/blueish turtleneck
#99
they gave here a couple different cars too: the focus from last season, a new focus, and a new hyundai of sorts.

yeah, and the guy wiping the computers and in the van, also had the tattoo that showed up in the ENHANCED bicycle mirror.
janek definitely knows more and probably did a combination of both to cover and make him feel better.
