    Hi,
I lost my Phaeton in an accident last August, and I still frequent the forums here several times a week. I truly still miss my car.

I decided to search for the VIN number today and found it sitting in a salvage yard not far away.

Sad to see her there like that....

It still looks great, hopefully you'll acquire another one soon!

That engine bay is cleaner than mine. Did you keep it that clean when you had it, and if so, what did you use?

How do you run a location check with a vin number?

I feel your pain friend! Mine apparently sold Monday or might sell today. I can't get a straight answer from the salvage yard since I don't hold the title (the insurance company does).

BTW, what is your replacement vehicle?

It was always clean, but I never did anything to keep it that way...

All I did was google my vin# number and the results came right up.

2006 BMW 750Li... it is a great car and a nice replacement for the Phaeton.

Is this the one with a questionable wire harness? It certainly looks rebuildable, but not likely worth the effort unless the purchase price was somewhere less than $10K.

Amazingly a drivable vehicle in nice shape gets totaled out with less than extensive damage (by appearance anyhow). Without seeing the undercarriage, it’s hard to say what structural items where affected.

Yep, it's the one with my long thread on the wiring harness needing replacement. It was also at least another $14k in damage on top of the wiring harness though and I think they stopped counting at that point. Looks can be deceiving....

I did keep my car clean though, it was in great shape!

I need an emoticon that shows "crying."

Your Phaeton was just so beautiful......heck, but for that damage, it IS still beautiful.
