got mine put in this weekend,ride is great im at 8 threads left to go in the front, and a few less in the rear. running 1/2 turn from full soft up front, and 1 turn from full soft in the rear(which is about half)
right after the install, front was 24-7/8" front 25" rear. now a day later the front has settled to 24-3/4" rear is same,
only snag on the install was the FL ball joint broke only $50 and a snap to install

Koni produced 2 kits for the FWD Mk4. The 1150-5083, and the 1150-5048. The only difference between the two was the front spring. Originally the 5083 kit was recommended for the VR6, while the 5048 kit was recommended for the 1.8t/tdi/2.0. They later changed their recommendation to the 5083 kit being for the vr6/1.8t/tdi, and the 5048 kit being only for the 2.0. They have since stopped bringing the 5048 kit into north america, and recommend the 5083 kit for all engines.
While these are the official recommendations from Koni, we have had customers run both kits on every engine combination depending on what they were looking for as far as performance and ride quality. And again, since the front spring is the only difference, it can be changed to change what car the kit is for.
