profit? just fixing to sell?

Maybe a brisk walk will do.
Lets get a baseline going here:
Bought the car yesterday for basically nothing. 250k on body, 150k on motor/tranny/turbo from a replace under warranty. Sport suspension, pleather, sport wheel, tip, a bunch of stuff spray painted black, a couple of questionable badges, and very questionable headlights.
Day 1 | Assess, and clean:
Previous owner had a big ass dog that apparently was not shy about tasting the snozberry flavored back windows. As well, it inevitably shed like it was it's job. So I started by tearing out all the seats, and doing some serious vacuuming.
What 'chu know about removing stains?!
Some shots of the interior
And somethings
So that is where it currently sits. Tomorrow I will continue the cleaning, and start on the emblems etc.
To Do List (in order):
-LED everything
-Remove German flag badges
-Bring grille surround and front rings back to silver
-Fender and Door (respray whole left side)
-Mirror (respray both mirrors body colour)
-Change out headlights to OEM with clear turns
-Coils
-Wheels/tires (RC's on 205/45's)
-Spacers?
-?
-Profit
Be back tomorrow with some progress.

I'm guessing you bought the car really cheap.
It does look pretty good but will look better after you complete your plans. I especially don't like those headlights and wheels.
hi.

Tell me about it![]()
I did get it for a great price, and it seems to be a wonderful base. Though automatic (which, being a manual driving from the beginning, doesn't bother me too much, as I still have the Golf), I have yet to find rust anywhere on the car, and it's very clean.
Once a few loose ends get tied up it should be lookin proper.

Increased my bug to paint ratio on the front bumper.
Mirrors, coil cover, door, and fender are in paint. Car will go in for hood, left side and rear bumper respray in a couple weeks.
Coils are coming once I stop spending money on photo and video equipment
Front spacers are waiting, rears are the same story as the coils.
Figured I would update this as best I couldPhotos and better updates to come when things actually start happening.

I found the thread, but there are 2 problems;
1. He used a Dremel, which I don't really want to do,
and more importantly;
2. The picture of how he cut it is dead

I can say with confidence that at least one of us has done something a little new with wheels...not everyone will like them; that's for sure.

it looks way better than before
any eta on when youll have a new fender/door? it will look money after that and headlights
#24
Honest to god, I like it with the headlights and body damage, lol....also it is no sans exhaust.

As it sits, around an inch off the ground at it's lowest points (in and around that). Geoff may able to say the GTF...I can't remember what the car was before it settled. It's a little bouncy this far down, but I guess that is to be expected.
#27
I think 22.75" front, 23.25" rear. But that's mostly a guess.
Trans pan cracked; check
Exhaust ripped off; check
Ya, it's kinda low.

I managed to destroy the car in 2 days...wait, did I say destroy? I meant make it awesome.
