    The difference between trans codes fvd and hep

    Im replacing the trans in my 2004 six speed s4 and i was wondering whats the difference in the trans codes fvd and hep can i run ether one in my car? Also where can i find my trans code Ive looked on the tranny and i cant find it anywhere.

    Ok so I called the dealer and gave them my vin and they said either tranny was compatible with my car although they couldn't tell me what the actual difference is. Hope this helps anyone with this question in the future.

    I ended running a fvd in my car and it came with a hep
