Currently how she sits. Totaled my mk4 jetta, sold the the Keskins b/c they wouldnt look good w/o a nice suspension set up. From that I put half of it into savings and spent the other half on h&r sport cup kit. Rides much better than my previous set of coils that were on the jetta and my wife doesn't complainAlso added a votex front valance, and rear votex w/ diffuser. Waiting for the mounting tape to be back in stock at ECS so I can install the rear spoiler from ECS. LOVE those clearance sales
Bought the car with the "Will not mod until paid off" agreement with the wifeNeedless to say that did not happen

I would love to throw an airlift kit and a set of amg Aero II's on it but just don't have the funds right now. That and we are saving up for her next car or suv (hopefully VW)
Anyway on with the pics

Damn near every mod on my car has been purchased on a budget, from H&R Super Sport springs to sprayed r32 style tails. After just over 2 years, she's right where I wanted when I started out. I am about 18 months from paying 'er off. MKVIs are starting to look not so ugly anymore...getting the itch for a new car/bored with(finished) modding on the current GTI. I just hope that the next person will get as much enjoyment out of my car as I had.

I'm currently a student also taking 18 credits, I got financial aid and pulled out student loans had to pull a little extra out for the carGoing to work during the summer and plan on getting some 19"s, and GLI side skirts and rear valance and a rep votex lip. I decided i'm only going to go with looks and suspension, since i have a 2.5L and will cost alot of money to make it fast. Well here it is so far.

I just got married and I'm helping my wife pay her school, I work part-time and I don't put any money into the mkv anymore. If I have money now-a-days it goes into my Mk2 VRT.

Family Budget (Married with 2 dogs and a house.)
Mods are more cosmetics (wheels, Coils), HID fogs and Audio Setup (JL audio 2piece up front. BA 4 way amp, RF P300.1, Audiobahn 8" DVC Subwoofer, etc etc....)
Car is quick enough for what I need it for so the Rest of my Money goes to making the wifey happy.
Current Set-up
Tried 19's

Ill bite. I am a full time student, work full time and own my own house so budget is a real concern for me.
Winter set up-
And summer, still on stock wheels.
Right now, most mods are internal. Hotchkis adjustable rear sway bar, Eibach Pro Kits, APR Stage 1 and a few other odds and ends.
This summer I want to get my short shift kit, boost guage, and front sway bar. If i get the right deal a 3" down pipe and I have the rest of the stuff to build my own 3" exhaust.
Next spring I plan on getting a set of RML snowflakes for show and street and a set of R compounds for my stock wheels on the track unless I find something wider cheap.
Quick edit, I have an Oettinger front bumper I got on craigslist cheap. If i get a winter beater this year I will park the car and have it painted and ready for spring. I gotta find different sides and rear for it first though.

Hi everyone! I'm Fede from Argentina and this is my first post
and this is my mom's Jetta, which she doesn't use much, so I do. The Jetta does not have a lot of mods for many reasons, first of all my budget
, second one that here there aren't many aftermarket parts available, and the ones that are, are sooo expensive as they are brought from USA or Europe. Third, the Jetta is quite an expensive car in this side of the earth (starting at 31k US dollars) which you don't want to brake or make any mistakes with.
Anyway, here are some (crappy) pics:
The car's got sports springs. I can´t go lower as the streets here suck.
Quite dark tinted windows, that aren't illegal around here.
6000K xenon in low beam and fogs, aren't illegal either.
2din Pioneer DVD receiver, amp and sub. Those are the main mods
Sorry for bad english!

I saw your R on Santee Drive on Thursday! I guess that you're just visiting...
'Twas nice to see two mk5 Golfs at one home... Wish that more people would appreciate European cars rather than buyin' Korean and Japanese econobox dorkmobiles.

When i was in NYC, i was eating at a restaurant with my friend when Bill Murray passed by, took a french fry from our basket, dipped it in ketchup, ate it and said:"No ones ever going to believe you" before walking out.
