if you are talking about mine... its black, not grey. wish it was UG though. and i really dont think alphards are all that expensive.

my hr ultralows cost $500 shipped and the alphards were $628 shipped, WITH tires. so for coils, wheels and tires for UNDER $1200... yeah i would say thats a fairly small budget.

especially considering these are things i have done only within the last 2 months and i have owned the car 2.5 yrs.

the reality is that alphards while being a nice wheel... are not really that expensive. hell i can think of a large number of REPS that cost more then my alphards did.

Truf right thur. I can actually pick up a set of Alphards right now for $500 with tires and turn around and sell them on the vortex for twice the price
I had a set of Chicago reps for 1 week and I paid $530 shipped without tires...so truth again

Your point? I was inferring that wheels such as alphards are not cheap, so its weird to see them in a "budget" thread. However, it seems the one fellow got a bargain for his setup! Extremely envious. But I guess their budgets have a few more figures then mine do. Im a sophomore in college. If you are trying to insult me for looking for LM reps go for it. I am happy with my car the way it is, aside from the fact I want to lower it more but do not want to make sketchy ramps. I would love to do so much more to it, but the money I am making is being saved for after college which is the smartest decision to make. After I am done college and have a good job I will most likely make this my project car and buy something else as a daily.

This is what I want to eventually do to it after school. The wheels will be stripped and powdercoated black for next season.

Some really nice rides in this thread!!

All great inspiration to save up your pennies and keep an eye on the classifieds and local craigslist/kijiji!!

Update for my ride: Still waiting on my adapters from 1552, have my Sawblades fully stripped and cleaned, going to mount the tires and plasti-dip them for this season, as the funds for powder coating just are not available right now. Also picking up coils in the next few weeks, so I have them on when the Sawblades go on. Looking at something cheap such as Racelands for this season, and piecing together an air-ride setup over the winter!! Budget FTW!

^save up some more and get some fk streetlines. I did racelands with sawblades and needless to say ran them for 3 months and wanted more low. just my opinion.

Working on a wood basket for my votex roof rack, attempting to stain with minwax ebony........however might be too in depth for my taste testing on a piece of spare oak. using oak for the the final product.

Will only be running that setup for 3-4 months before the car goes under the cutting blade due to winter time. Just trying to keep it cheap so I have more money left for my attempt at bags!

Active duty AF, married, so I have to convince my wife most of the time before i buy anything for my car. Only had it since May, so considering that, I'm happy where it is right now. Still a ways to go though.
