depends on where you're located...
some areas, you would have a hard time giving it away while others, it could sell for a lot.
Also, would be hard to make a guesstimate without any pictures. The more pics, the better...

I recently bought an 87 16v car, I have put a few bucks into it to get it running better, but also got a new house, which is taking precedent. I would like to know what this this is worth? Here are some details, I can work on pics if needed, but the car is very straight and rust free. Exterior, recently painted, fair job, drivers side fender is from an 8v (hole for antenna), and driver fender skirt is off the body, but i do have it. interior is clean. the motor runs, but leaks coolant from the inlet hose (best guess so far). Has extra intake manifold and valve cover (painted but never installed). Other than that it needs at least 2 but probably 4 tires. I am having a hard time putting a value on the car and deciding whether or not to fix it and drive for a while or sell. There are non on ebay, and kbb.com doesnt go back that far. Any ideas what I should do, or what I should ask for the car if i sell it?
Thank you

That's for sure on the pic's. I have the same year 16V $1300.00 7 years ago. They seem to have gone up in price. Demand drives the price. Just seen one on here in Ohio where I'am (that's rare) in red for 1,500 OBO. Needs a bearing drivers before it can be driven. or tow back!

I bought this from a guy named Matt in the Rochester NY area. This one is now officially for sale $1100 or best offer. I do not have time or extra money to put into this and want to sell for garage space.

Update since last post. New (used) tires all around. Front driver fender skirt is re-attached, coolant line replaced. Only issue now is temp gauge not working, and I believe cold start valve is shot. Have a lot more into it now so price is higher. Let me know if anyone is still interested. Thanks

Wish I had known with little miles as this one has if speedo is working. I bought one for that price (950.00) with 240,000mi for my son. mine has 143,000 and still strong. Just hesitation at times, but that's another story. Not many in Ohio at all.
