WTB: MK1 or MK2 close to Houston

You would think that in Houston you'll find a MK2 or MK1.
(If only there were many VW's as ther is Honda's.)

Well looking to buy a old school rabbit/golf, been on the search and have yet to find one.
Have cash in hand..
Must have's
-a/c
-running
-somewhat complete (please no rust buckets)

Good Luck with your search, I spent almost 2 years looking for the good 83-84 GTI in the DFW area. I ended up buying one from Colorado and having it shipped down sight unseen. My only condition was mostly stock with a complete interior. Most everything around here has been modified beyond the point of recoginition...

I still watch the Craigslist around here so if I see something, I'll let you know.

Check autotrader, there's a California GTI that's fairly complete and not a bad price. Transportation from Co to DFW was ~$600.

yea i was looking at that.
i wanted my first car to be a 1992 golf gti. i wanted the car to be as old as me.
been searching since 16 but recently decided to go on a full blown search and unluckily came out enmpty handed.
i'm not giving up hope.

also do you know how much and hard it will be to get one transported from europe?
(if i get it transported might as well go all out)
