I though as everyone else was giving it a bash, I would too...
So here is my first attempt at chopping.
Due to the lack of photoshop or other image editing software I have on my comp, it took the best part of 4 hours to complete, but I'm pretty chuffed with the outcome.
Hope you guys approve.

REQUEST:
This may be too chop/cut/rebuild for this thread, but can someone take the main body of the newest Beetle and smooth the front and rear fenders until it's just slab-sided like a 356?
It's already been labeled as evocative of the early Porsches, so why not go all the way and replace the Beetle-style fenders with a slab-sided 356 look?
This will be easier with the side perspective because you won't have to account for the difference in width from the body to the outside of the wheels.
This is just a what-if. Hope no one gets their feathers ruffled.

Not quite. I mean no individual protruding fenders at all. I would like to see it completely slab-sided like a 356.
I like the side view DaRk-AnGeL did, so I grabbed that as starting point and just blacked out the fenders to give the effect. Obviously we need someone with PS skills to pull this off correctly.
I think this wouldn't be too hard for a 1552 to pull off in the flesh. Now that would be badass at SEMA.
