Alright everyone! After what seems like forever, it's Wuste2011 time!! I've come up with the easiest route, times, and meet points for everyone that caters to Fuel needs(Guzman), Food(Myself), and Potty breaks(Ladies). I know times can vary on these caravans but we should be able to make all of these times even with a quick stop in between for emergency restroom breaks. But, I feel that as long as everyone drinks conservatively than we should be just fine

Initial Meet up Spot: Friday June 3rd Gilroy - Chevron @ 7110 Camino Arroyo Gilroy, CA 95020
    Arrive: 6:30am Depart: 7:00am

I really liked meeting up at the Chevron in Gilroy like we did last year.. There is ample parking, a walmart, and jack in the box there as well. Restrooms are always clean and lots of fuel pumps so people can do a fill up there. Leaving this location was nice as well because both lights that we needed to catch have two lanes and offer lots of room so everyone can make each light and nobody gets left behind.

Next rendezvous point : Buttonwillow - Chevron @ 20656 Tracy Avenue Buttonwillow, CA 93206
    Arrive: 10:00am Depart: 10:20am

This is 187mi from the initial fill up spot, every car has the capability to make it 200 mi on one take of fuel including Guzman! So Fill up here if you can't make it to barstow on one tank! Keep in mind Barstow is another 150mi which would be the next fuel stop for the group and is a total of 291mi. There are lots of places to choose from for fuel around here as well as places to grab food for the road if need be..

Next rendezvous point: Barstow - Chevron @ 2890 Lenwood Road, Barstow, CA 92311
    Arrive: 1:10pm Depart: 2:00pm

There aren't really any "easy in and out" fuel stations here but there is ample room for cars fueling up and prepping for the section. Off this exit there is also lots of places to grab a bite to eat as well. Last year we planned on going to the In and Out and meeting up with other crews but the place was so packed it was mayhem. 50 minutes should be plenty of time to first fill up your cars with fuel then grab a bite to eat. Once we fill up we will decide on food choices, and pick the easiest location to depart from and group up there.

Final Destination point: Las Vegas -
    Arrive: 4:30PM

Some of SKE will be departing the cruise for different hotel arrangements and such. but I will include directions to the Boulder Station Hotel and Casino in my directions papers..

Since this is a group caravan the trip will be longer than the usual 7.5 hrs it takes to get to Vegas due to the time needed for multiple cars to fill up, use the restroom and grab food.

Upon meeting up, I will hand out directions and meeting times just in case people need them! Also there will be radio instructions and such for the people who wanna chit chat along the way and stay informed of any emergency stops and such. So if you have a FRS radio please bring it so you can stay in the loop!

So far SKE and WCM are in for the cruise and we hope that anyone else who wants to join a large caravan down to Wuste2011 will meet up as well!

Also if anyone is interested we will be getting Door Magnets made for the trip to give a little Rally look to the caravan! go here http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...avan-Door-Mags to see what they look like and let us know what number and such you'd like..

This weekend for me is impossible, family weekend (Easter), I'm from Southamerica, so any Holiday that has anything to do with religion is a family holiday, with church included and everything, hahahaha... but when is the next meet after this weekend???

SacWater is doing a caravan from the Sacramento area (Go figure) It is very large. You might want to consider meeting up with them. I will meet up with them, probably on I5. Or I will drive up to sac the night before. Check www.sacwater.net for more info.
Unfortunately, WCM hates me,( I have no bad blood with them tho. ) So I can not join you guys.
