Hi Volkswagen Enthusiasts!

Volkswagen of America needs your help! This year Volkswagen will have an official presence at four more Enthusiast Events including Southern Worthersee, Wuste, Waterfest and H20. Plus we will be at the SCCA Runoffs and Solo National Championships as the Official Car of SCCA. We are always looking for new ideas to keep our displays interesting and interactive. Our future plans include using certain engine sounds and exhaust notes from very specific VW cars, a few of which even we can’t get a hold of!

If you have access to any of these vehicles below we’ll send you a recording device, so you can quickly record the necessary car sounds and then send it back (on us). We’re looking for 20 sec sound clips (10 seconds of engines revving and 10 seconds of the exhaust while revving) from a certain distance front and rear for consistency. Of course, we are open to your suggestions as well. Post up your ideas and if it’s popular we’ll work to include those models as well.

Thanks for all your help and more importantly, your loyalty to Volkswagen. We appreciate all you’ve done and continue to do for the brand and we look forward to hearing from you and seeing you soon at these events!

Love this idea, and we the organizers of SOWO are super stoked to have VWoA participating this year! Due to the popularity of the turbo variants I think it would be great to have some sounds of 1.8t's or an FSI. But for something truly unique...maybe a '77 Roc with with a dual grind cam on C16 with open exhaust!
