    What front bumper is that?

Or was it custom made for the intercooler/turbo setup that guy has?

I've never been a fan of those osir skirts for some reason. I think reiger skirts are simiar iirc.

Quite a list. Keep us updated. And post pics!

I would think you would need a whole front end conversion. Don't quote me on that. I could be way off.

Similar to the oettinger grille, it's also made for the GTI and not the R.

also what is that opening where I mark the red box??

This is a valve that is attached to a spring which activate autonomously based on ambient temperature. The spring shrinks as the temperature lowers causing the valve door to open, this allows warm air to be inducted into the intake system thus speeding up the warmup time of the engine on cold days.

When I ran OEM airbox with a K&N drop-in filter, I removed mine, as it is attached to the wall that compartmentalizes the box, opening up the surface area of usable filter. I then capped off the hole left in the side of the airbox with one of those plumber pipe caps that has a rubber portion that expands to create a nice seal. I live in Florida so I don't need this feature.

First a BIG thanks to Mike, Dennis, and Mike at the LindenVW. They took the time to install the cams. After the install, they told me, the knock sensor is going soon so they order one for me ahead. As I driving home, check engine light came on, shows the faulty code P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank 1 or Single Sensor). This morning Dennis send me an email ask about how was the ride home. I told him about the knock sensor, he said the sensor should be there on Wed then just come in they will take care of it. They have great service and good price and really took care of me on this installation. Great guys

Because my knock sensor is bad, I felt the car lost power and hesitate. I pull up the timing advance on my GPS (Garmin nüvi 3790T + ecoRoute HD), it is all over the place. I will wait until the sensor replace then do the dyno.
