waterfest is about 2 months away. Do you know the vendor there mostly carry performance parts, exterior parts, or interior parts?? some parts i want to get them there to save some $$$$

I do believe that the black ones were from the 2004 generation.

He got that set at Show & Go. I was there when he bought them.

JCaps used to make them, but got in trouble for doing so.

Your best bet is eBay.

You're absolutely right and I'm dying to find one but noone has them. The black would flow so much better on my CW than the blue imo.

Gotti, I think OEM+ has the sills but not sure.

The vendor who sold me the door sills at the Show & Go, has a lot of sills for different VW.. He has box of them for the 08 R.

Hm, not a bad idea. But if you want to get a real feel for what the intake alone adds to your car, best to do it alone.

Plus, the intake install will be cake in comparision to the other stuff. lol. Intake shouldn't take longer than an hour. Puck can take considerably longer depending...and engine mounts, not sure but I'd think also a little more involved.

Do you have sound chamber plug installed? I never get what is sound chamber, I always thought that pipe is supply air into the cabin.

I don't. I have it all connected. Although I keep considering the idea of doing the noise pipe delete and placing that cap on that one end of the intake tube.

That pipe is called a noise pipe. As far as I know, it's designed to reduce the amount of noise into the cabin.

Because It didn't come with the car, I have to get it and put it on. that should considered a mod..... just same as change the radio unit to different VW OEM radio~~~~~

Good, then with that, everytime I change from 92oct to 93oct this will also be a mod. Not to mention when I change the OEM VW cabin filter to the one sold by ECStuning that didn't come with the car, forgot vanity plates too...

This is a valve that is attached to a spring which activate autonomously based on ambient temperature. The spring shrinks as the temperature lowers causing the valve door to open, this allows warm air to be inducted into the intake system thus speeding up the warmup time of the engine on cold days.

When I ran OEM airbox with a K&N drop-in filter, I removed mine, as it is attached to the wall that compartmentalizes the box, opening up the surface area of usable filter. I then capped off the hole left in the side of the airbox with one of those plumber pipe caps that has a rubber portion that expands to create a nice seal. I live in Florida so I don't need this feature.
