Thread: Diablo Dilema

  1. 06-02-2012 11:46 AM #736
    German Shmerman.
    Il Drago.

Lucifer means "Light Bringer". In Italian I do believe it would be Lucifero.

But Leggero means light. The Diablo has never been accused of being light.

Gallardo V10 is nice, but it's a 5.2L normally aspirated motor.

I has 6.0L Diablo V12 + big twin turbos! If the Gallardo enigine is a dinosaur, then mine is a Tryranosaurus

    How about Zalamero? http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com...-be-cloned/496

Zalamero, meaning Fawner, is a 17 year-old bull that earned the distinction of being an “indultado”, a bull whose life is spared by the matador for its incredible bravery in the ring. The bull was given his status after a 1994 fight in the world’s largest bullring in Mexico City.

Or perhaps the name of a famous fighting bull who killed a matador?

    I like Lucifer too.

Ask most Spaniards what the name “Avispado” means to them, and they will tell you it is the bull which killed the famous bullfighter Paquirri.

    Avispado maybe?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if the mods thinned it out a bit. It's getting crazy long, and there really hasn't been much substance to it. I probably only have half a dozen relevant pics at this point.

22 pages in, and the build has practically just started

Most of us have been here reading it since the beggining...

As for the name... how about

    toureiro

It's the portuguese word for bullfighter. Brave, malevolent, and downright evil

some of us have a life and don't read every page of every post on the vortex before deciding to reply.

i can see where someone posting to a 1 or 2 page thread, maybe should read through to see if their thoughts have already been spouted. but expecting that EVERY vortex user has followed a 22 page posted with bated breath is just asinine.

for those of you following this thread since day one, having read all the posts is pretty easy. since it was done 1 post at a time.

my point stands... someone who just happened upon this thread should not be expected to read every post for 22 pages before being 'allowed' to post.:

Here's the thing.... READING isn't even required, he could have scrolled through page 21, spent 20 seconds LOOKING AT PICTURES and would have known where the project is at.

well i guess then the admins should put in a little disclaimer on every post asking each person in the thread if they have indeed gone through and read all of the relevant pages before making a post.

    its the internet.
    its a social forum.
    its an informal medium.

why the hell are people so uptight about when, why and how other people post?

why can't people just see a post that has been posted before or is now irrelevant and think 'meh'... and then move on instead of being an ass about it?

why is it the the car lounge seems to take much more pride in make sure people 'post properly' according to THEIR own standards that no one else knows, than being satisfied that people want to contribute at all?

We're on an internet message board. It's not as though time is a valued commodity here, this is where people come to waste time. Spending a few minutes to read a thread so that you can make a sensible, relevant reply improves the quality of that thread, rather than reading 2 pages, deciding that it isn't worth your time, and then posting some nonsense. If you can't be bothered to read, then why contribute?

Anyway... moving on... "Avispado" has a nice ring to it.

Maybe you should start a new thread, putting all the updated pictures and info at the beginning.

As for names, I'll chime in a few.

    La Bella Morta
    Bacia mi Culo
    Curb Stomper
    Merda del Toro
    David Hasselhoff

I think I covered a good range there.

That's probably the best idea, considering half of this page alone was taken up by an argument about how much of the thread should be read before posting.

because imo the gallardo v10 engine is the best sounding engine i have ever heard and i much perfer it to the v12 engine for the sound alone

also to the people complaining about the relevant posts

its a poll thread and stays that way for the first few pages that i read before posting and a poll thread asks for opinions so i stated my opinion

i had no way of knowing it had become a build thread w/o reading the whole thread and im far to busy to read or even scroll through 22 different pages
