Ok, I have a few questions for this thread.
My Saab 900 is a 1987. It's now 2012. 2012 - 1987 = 25. I now qualify for collector car status, correct? Or is it "over" 25 years in the state of WA? Does it matter when it was built, or just the model year?
Second, the car is not currently registered. Someone told me before that the car had to be currently registered, then it could be "switched over" to collector status. Is this true? The whole reason that I want the collector status (besides not having to run a front plate) is that it doesn't pass emissions. (In its present state it actually doesn't even run, but we'll table that for the time being

) I'm sure you can see the catch-22 here.
Help?
